What surprised me was how far they went. It's one thing to say "Alec is dead, but gaming still needs it's metoo moment!", and another to say that "Zoe is the real victim of Alec's death.". The example you posted of how women are the real victims of war is widely parodied and made fun of because it's so extreme, and even far lefties tend to ignore it.
But even by that standard, ResetEra will go as far as to say this is a good thing and he deserved to die, or that he should have lived so that he could have suffered more. The only person who caught a ban over that was the guy who went into graphic detail about how he'd torture him to death, and I'm guessing even that ban was damage control.

that shit is evil and ultimately unfair and any person without several psychological issues can see why, the responses in ResetEra are no surprise, seeing how deeply troubled and depressed these individuals are, it´s at least reassuring seeing people jumping ship, noticing how moderation not only enables but actively enforces this kind of extreme views.
