For the last couple years or so I've been dealing with what is referred to in DBT therapy as a "distorted" belief. I'm putting distorted in quotes because even now I don't *intuitively feel* like it's necessarily all that distorted? It's certainly hard for me to think of it as "distorted" because it seems as natural as anything else in daily life.

Here is the distorted belief:" I believe that certain people in the indie game community want me dead."

Now what does that mean exactly? Does it mean that I think they're going to walk up and stab me in the back with a knife at some point? No. I believe they are trying to covertly hurt me and my career to the point where I'm driven to suicide.

Quite an ominous read. I guess the belief was less distorted than he thought.

I have a few ideas to what actually happendbut I'm going to take everything zoe says with a grain of salt.if there was some truth to what she said then they were both in a mutally toxic relationship.

Zoe likely manipulated alec which likely exasperated his mental issues and led alec to abuse her.neither of them are in the right that's how messy relationship usually go.

What I can say now is that alec really needed help and support from his friends and family but in the end they failed to help him in his time of need.with a public witch hunt and no support he wasn't able to tell his side of the story and apologise for any abuse he caused and continue to work on his mental health issues.

I think this goes far beyond just Soc. justice. I can't remember who it was but I remember when some believe all wamens feminist had her son falsely accused of rape and she was told she had to turn on her son, she quit and left soc. justice.
