Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I'm a bit of a boomer on phone but did a quick Twitter search and it honestly is kind of wholesome the only people hating on Vic are the chum lawyer squad. Decided to share this little snippet of what people are saying.

Samantha? Our fake swatter? This sped got the con wrong. Johnny Otaku cornered a voice actor at Yulecon 2008.

Who was at Yulecon 2008?

Johnny Otaku seems like someone who'd get an lolcow thread but I still have to wonder how embellished this story was.
Look at him. Just look at him.

Autism. It's autism if I've ever seen it, and boy have I fucking seen it and dealt with it first hand.

Boy after the end of the book 3, Aang really put on some weight. All that fame of defeating the fire nation must have made him pretty lazy. :story: :applecat:

Well boys and girls, kiwis and lurkers, this is it. The Season 2 finale of WeebWars is almost upon us. Season 1 had a shaky start, with just Nicky Rackets trying to hold the story together, but really picked up steam with the introduction of Ty Beard. And that triumphant ending as the lawsuit was filed and the opposition was sent scrambling for cover as the war truly began. Here, we either enter Season 3 triumphant, riding the high of the TCPA victory, or we are left hanging, with an inconclusive hearing, or even a loss. Either way, the writers have truly outdone themselves. Season 1 had a great cast, Shane, Marzgurl, Beth Elderkin, ANN, io9, all the classics. Season 2 really brought the heat with the Lawtwitter arc, and although Douchette, J Sean, and Dunford may not have lived up to Shane, they have brightened all of our lives and thrown the story into fresh new directions. And who could have forgotten the Leaks arc, the Toye revelations and subsequent downfall of the Tragic Hero Joseph, followed immediately by the DB audio leaks. It may have seemed corny on paper but damn it if the animators, writers, and actors managed to pull it off. Lets just hope that the writers keep up the quality of pacing and characters, despite the already high bar.

Season 1; The Phantom Lawsuit
Season 2; The Mignogna Strikes Back
Season 3; ???????????????????????

Season 3 is tcpa is breakable.

He also did around 15 video games, she's being extra cunty pissing on his work for the franchise.

I personally think it's great and she keeps yappin'. Discredit herself even more.
"So.........you say Vic is a public figure"
"Yes"
"But here you say he's a nobody and you are far more famous"
"Yes"
"But no one knows who you are"

Nobody knows who, who is?

Anyone here got access to a sentiment analysis solution (preferably one of the big paid ones), else someone already used to running and vader?
One of the rules of the Farms is no organizing gay ops. Good idea to keep that in mind.

That said, if we're dedicating time to sentiment analysis, add adversarial analysis to the stack. So many sock puppets that need to be tied to actual people. For shits and giggles, I ran some Tweets through a Basic9 parser with SMO classifiers to get some promising hits. Gen Fukunaga, for instance, has a very distinctive stylographic pattern that stands out amongst others.

Just had an idea jump into my head.
If Toei revokes Funi's license for Dragonball because of the leaks, would that give Funi grounds to sue Nick for TI?
My first thought is "probably not", but it'd make for an interesting development.

No. Nick expose something that actually happened with proof. He's not running around teh interwebs screeching like a harpy at anyone who will listen to unsubstantiated claims.

Nobody knows who, who is?

rial. See.........you proved my point.

Crystal clear

I had a homebrew for IE on jaw through lingpipe and limited access to Radian6 years ago. That Gen Fukunaga pattern ... a hint would be nice

The tournament arc is for way later.
There is rumors that the authors thought about something quite unusual however : in the tournament arc, the villains will have to go against each other, apparently.
I'm so pumped for the Schemmel VS Sabat fight. I just hope they won't waste to much time on the drama about the Ronica break up, I'm here for the action, not the fucking ships.

This, THIS A TON.

We don't need more gayops, they only cause confusion, headaches, and in worst cases bans.

Don't pozload my neghole, or your hands will be stained.
No diggity no doubt. Gotta wrap that shit up.

Tweep and Vader are just used to figure out the current mood based on recent Tweets. It's not a big lift to get a near real time report rolling.

Jstylo (or a similar tool) is used to perform adversarial analysis, figure out the person most likely behind a piece of text.

You would use the two in a stack to normalize sentiment analysis. You want to find the accounts that are posting 200 times an hour to make one side look better and see if you can track it back to a specific person via stylographic indicators.

It's poo free UNTIL THE POINT someone crosses a line and goes after the trolls. A small amount of research on my part indicated there are fake Twitter accounts posting kickvic shit and it looks like everything comes from a single author. Which probably means Funimation's marketing agency.
