IANAL, but I have to assume it would be some form of double jeopardy, unless that's only a thing in criminal court. If they found SEPARATE instances of TI, that would be different though.

conspiracy probably only stayed on since both of them were on the phone with slatosh. Still given how the judge didn't care about legal definitions I am surprised it was included.

It might look odd, but the civil conspiracy relates to the defamation more than the TI, which was going to increase damages.

We don’t know. The Judge has 30 days to rule on those issues. Although given he ruled from the bench on the others safe bet is he will keep those. With the underlying message of “Settle This Now I Don’t Want To See Any Of You Idiots Again!”

Considering what has happened in the hearing today, I would not be optimistic.

Looking at this from a defense perspective, anything but a full dismissal is a loss. Victory for Marchi being absolved entirely, but Funimation and Rial/Toye are likely not happy with the failings to dismiss defamation and civil conspiracy outright.

Lemoine/Law Twitter were acting like they had a slam dunk, and in most respects, they had the perfect atmosphere for it. We will have to wait for the final ruling and appeals, but this is not something I would be proud of if I was either of the defendants (not Marchi obviously)

Judge did not seem to care about Notary issue, everything dropped against Marchi, everything but defamation dropped from Funi, and everything but defamation and social conspiracy dropped against MoRon.
