What's with all this police shit? Zoe Quinn is a terrible human being for sure. But Alex chose to surround himself with these kind of people. Sucks that anyone felt they needed to kill themselves, but how about surrounding yourself with people who are loyal that you can trust? When your circle is a bunch of pronoun Twitter accounts who would slit your throat for a like on Twitter, don't be surprised when you get thrown to the wolves.
Because if the police decide to look into and no matter how unlikely you've become a little bit closer to having someone dangerous behind bars and some laughs too why would you not do it? I don't know why any poster doing anything is considered a gay op on this forum, the poster found tweets contrary to Zoe's story and then called the police alone.
To be fair, most of these people have grown up in an era where union are basically engines of corruption/further means to solidify control over the industry ala the way the Writers Guild was a giant mafia in the 1930/1940s under Dalton Trumbo*.
*Dalton Trumbo was one of the higher ups in charge of the Writers Guild in Hollywood and was notoriously corrupt and was part of a corrupt group of card carrying communist writers who were the Zoe Quinns of Hollywood.
The Writers guild had the Hollywood studios by the throat via the fact that the Big Studios could only hire writers to write scripts that were part of the guild. Non-WGoA members were basically blackballed from Hollywood and Dalton and his communist friends used this to unspeakable effect to "purge" Hollywood of anything remotely conservative. If you were a Republican or anything remotely conservative or not liking the communist party/Soviet Union, you were basically banned from gaining membership in the Writers Guild and banned from working at the Big Studios in Hollywood.
Furthermore being left wing/democrat wouldn't save you as you had to vote/be 100% in lockstep with the communists in the Writers Guild. If you said something that Trumbo and his cronies disliked, wrote a script that called out the horrors/mass murders/evil of Stalin, or did something Trumbo and his friends disagreed with? They would make it so studios would not buy your scripts or hire you to write a script for them. And they would greylist you from making a living until you did a Soviet-worthy recanting of your "heresies" before the entire Writers Guild in private shaming sessions Trumbo and his friends held.
Besides all of this, Trumbo and his cronies were notoriously corrupt abusing the Writers Guild to line their own pockets; getting THEIR scripts sold at top priority for lots of money and squashing projects that they disliked.
Case in point; you want to know why it took so long for Americans to lear of the mass murders/genocides commited by Stalin? Because Trumbo and his cronies killed MULTIPLE movie projects about Stalins' reign of terror because Trumbo had a HUGE hard-on for Russia and refused, flat out REFUSED to allow any Hollywood studio make a film calling out what a hellish dictatorship it was or Stalin's various mass murder sprees.
When Zoe and her cronies screech about unionizing video games, THAT is the end goal. Complete and total control over the industry along with all of the corruption and spoils you get from being the corrupt elite, living like superstars on the working man's union dues while they get fucked over and cowed into subserviance to the anti-life equation death kult.
Unions are the last gasp of workers looking for relevancy once they realize wages have stagnated for a variety of other reasons. The reason most modern unions fail is because they actually have zero leverage, because there are so many people desperate to get in, which is usually what drives wages down to begin with. First of all, their jobs are low value but then factor in how their entire industry is pretty low value. Its easy for the public to get involved when its about factories and car plants. But we are talking fucking indie games and graphic designers.
This is evident in the fact that ZQ has clout at all. I cannot think of a non-service based industry in which she would be even remotely useful. She seems to to have flourished in that environment and the only skills she's developed are being a huge cunt and scaring anyone who looks at her wrong into shutting up lest they receive the dreaded scarlet letter and get blacklisted by the industry. So that's all she's got to ride on. It really does suck for Alec. TBH it really sucks for humanity in general. But entire civilizations have been thrown away for ladies whose only skill is spreading their legs. So this is sadly just par for the course.

More importantly, surround yourself with actual rl friends that you can see in person, and that can give real help if you need it. I notice that in a lot of these internet drama situations, it seems that the central figure spiraling into crisis will have mostly online friendships, or the people around them were met online and are just passing through the person's life for a brief cameo. That's not something anyone wants to rely on when shit's getting bad

In general I have not seen so many obvious warning signals associated with a single person. Zoe may be the most toxic public figure of our era.

It is beaten into you when you're in these circles that you have to accept everyone.
