I went to a bookstore Q&A for a book called BULLSHIT JOBS by a writer named David Graeber in Hollywood. Doctorow was the moderator. He spent the majority of the fucking panel tweeting, spacing out, and being genuinely dismissive of Graeber and his book. I literally could see his twitter page from my phone updating with pictures of cars and all of his ADHD shit while he was barely hanging on to the conversation. Totally bizarre. Then, when we got to the audience Q&A section, Doctorow would complain that there were no non-binary folks or people of color who were raising their hands. He asked everyone who wasn't NB or PoC to put their hands down so he can focus on marginalized folks in the audience. EVERYONE PUT THEIR HANDS DOWN. He was so agitated that he was speaking to a white audience that he just scoffed and moved on.

What a fucking exceptional individual.

Bullshit Jobs is a great book, and David Graeber is way too good to deserve that, but lbr: Doctorow is a living example of a bullshit job. Of course he wouldn't use his brain to internalize the message any, so he had to hide behind "muh diversity" to avoid an existential crisis. Same as all these cucks that back Quinn. They don't give a fuck about her either. They're just using her as a prop to hide behind and deflect blame for their own inadequacies as human beings.
