Don't people realize his begging will never end? Bills and taxes are forever, it won't be just once or twice, he will always use the same excuse to get the money.

Keep the crises rolling. Incompetence is a great way to do this: If the office system routinely works badly or the controlling partner routinely makes major mistakes, you're guaranteed ongoing crises. Poor money management works well, too. So does being in an industry where the clients are guaranteed to be volatile and flaky, or preferring friends who are themselves in perpetual crisis. You can also institutionalize regular crises: Workers in the Sea Org, the elite wing of Scientology, must exceed the previous week's production every single week or face serious penalties. Because this is impossible, it guarantees regular crises as the deadline approaches.

Regular crises perform two functions: They keep people too busy to think, and they provide intermittent reinforcement. After all, sometimes you win—and when you've mostly lost, a taste of success is addictive.

But why wouldn't people eventually realize that the crises are a permanent state of affairs? Because you've explained them away with an explanation that gives them hope.

Things will be better when... I get a new job. I'm mean to you now because I'm so stressed, but I'm sure that will go away when I'm not working at this awful place.

The production schedule is crazy because the client is nuts. We just need to get through this cycle, then we'll have a new client, and they'll be much better.

She has a bad temper because she just started with a new therapist. She'll be better when she settles in.

Now, the first person isn't actually looking for a job. (They're too stressed to fill out applications.) The second industry always has another crazy client, because all the clients are crazy. (Or better yet, because the company is set up to destroy the workflow and make the client look crazy.) The third person has been with her “new” therapist for a year. (But not for three years! Or five!) But the explanation sounds plausible, and every now and then the person has a good day or a production cycle goes smoothly. Intermittent reinforcement + hope = “Someday it will always be like this.” Perpetual crises mean the person is too tired to notice that it has never been like this for long.

TL;DR - No, the crises/begging will never end.

Why does he have such a small section of soundproofing behind him? It doesn't look it's big enough to be effective.

It's purely decorational.

The only question is, does DSP do it because it's a cheap and lazy way to make it appear like he's improving his sound quality, or does he actually think it does improve the sound quality with his usual minimal effort? I've heard many clips that could make it go either way.

Seems like he put them up, realized they didn't do shit, but also realized they'd destroy his wall if he removed them and because he's lazy and stupid he just left them there.

Hello everyone,

I was bored and curious at the same time as I tried to figure out the contradictions in Phil's narrative regarding Khet and, eh, Cat. So I tried to create a timeline which takes effect since Khet (however, don't miss the other timeline of events prior to her) and pretty much went overboard. However I just recorded the most major points from memory (checked the dates of course) and the khantent of our sub-threads, I don't rate everything relevant, especially these days with Bore Snorenell at the wheel. Sometimes research was easier, sometimes not, so let me tell you: Please use dates and describe what Phil is doing/saying, it makes everything so much easier.

KhetTimeframe.png

Everything regarding Khet + Phil is marked in red. Also pay attention to the bottom, easy to miss. Originally I aimed at the timeframe when Phil cried poor and he couldn't afford a cat, but still got a cat. Unfortunately it's near impossible to filter this information as he always cries poor and bankrupt, even after getting the cat.

(if a mod rates this worthy of a thread, please do so. I couldn't think of any funny thread title)

1) What is DSP's excuse when Kat is working the night shift and he's clearly still awake at 2 am Pacific?

2) Jasper literally just pawed one down with the greatest of ease. DSP could easily just put a new Punch Out picture or wall scroll up there for decoration.

Once again, the point of this breakdown is to illustrate how little progress is made during the Minecraft sessions. Watching them, I am constantly aware of the minutes ticking by without significant advancement in any fashion. It boggles the mind that he can manage to get so little done and have so little creativity in a game with boundless freedom to do whatever you want. So much of the game is left waiting to be explored, and yet Phil is still within the first stage. He paradoxically praises himself for his 10-month run of the game, while occasionally admitting he's an amateur when a demanding task is asked of him.

2 hours, 6 minutes (126 minutes) total. Accuracy to within 5-10 minutes or so.
  • 19% (24:00) reading chat, shoutouts, and editing the leaderboard
  • 14% (17:55) building the cobblestone cock
  • 13% (16:20) trekking
  • 13% (16:20) inventory management and crafting
  • 12% (14:40) recapping events, announcing/restarting the plan
  • 10% (13:00) fishing
  • 6% (6:55) off-topic rants
  • 5% (6:40) doing menial tasks such as harvesting crops, chopping wood, mining, etc.
  • 5% (5:50) Minecraft house tour
  • 2% (2:00) befuddlement at the game
  • 1% (0:30) petting Jasper
What's the meaningful difference between this and the previous one? More activity since Phil became so engaged with forging a giant cock. Strange how enamored he got with the details of the statue. There was much more explaining what he was about to do, and going over what has happened. It wasn't a prime example for his greed, as again he was so immersed in creating the statue, there was not the same focus on greasing those with money. It was a pretty relaxed one in all honesty. Beyond the stone cock, was there any other progress to be found? No, zero.

I was pleased the other day when Phil mentioned that he shut down the AC unit due to cooling weather, and you won't hear it again "until next June at the earliest." (With headphones on, you can hear the AC humming away in the background.) Then to my annoyance, Phil immediately explained he was fumbling around with the settings of a desk cooling fan. This is a man who just the other day was talking about wanting to cut back on the electricity bill. When asked about the desk cooling fan, he explained it was a "specially-designed fan" to be almost noiseless. A few hours later, he opened the window of his "office" to let in more cool air. One wonders why he couldn't do this during the previous months instead of having the AC running if he is not concerned with outside noise and wanted to cut corners to save some money on the AC bill, and also an expensive-sounding "specially-designed fan". Fucking asshole must get off on being annoying to others or something.

One last thing since it's not been mentioned here. About seven minutes after the end of the Minecraft session last night, the facecam was turned on for a brief few seconds by the looks of it the inexpensive cat. Check out MrHuth's Twitter for a short JIF of Phil staring at his phone.

In Twitch related news, Amouranth got banned for exposing herself.
Twitch finally did something right, I'm shocked quite frankly that they would ban her, as she is as famous as Alinity, if not more so.
This makes me believe there is hope that eventually they might look at Phil and say enough is enough and remove him just as they removed his promotional LiS video off their Twitter.
They banned her because they had no choice. A slight tap on the wrist, then they can go back to ignoring the next 3-4 incidents involving Alinity or Amouranth before giving them another tap on the wrist, as to appease naive people. They punish just enough to make it seem to people like they're not jerking off to their streams 24/7 making them exempt of any punishment, but not so much as to actually have an impact on their camgirl tactics. Can't say for sure, but if they ever turn their attention to Phil, it will likely be the same. A slight tick on the wrist to make it seem like they care about his mentally ill fans who get scammed, but not enough to have him actually stop scamming them (because they benefit from it).

There is a technical term for that: overchoice.

Anyone that follows DSP for more than a minute can see that he needs to be led to where he needs to go in a linear fashion. He's constantly checking chat and complaining about "bad game design" that he doesn't know what to do.

The fact that Minecraft does not have a linear path for him to follow makes it, quite literally, the worst possible game DSP can play. Without a clear linear objective of "go here and do this", DSP literally has no idea what to do and where to go and he's stuck.

debt.png

The carrot on a stick. Either that or the debt is so "massive" that its been almost 5 years, thousands going into the debt every month and its still not paid up. Thats if you believe DSP when he says all the money goes to paying off debt.

On the prestream, Phil had the absolute gaul to say that future job prospects that Seattle offers (Boeing, Microsoft, ect.) helped influence his decision to move there over other places, telling his viewers that he knew at that time it wasn't realistic to do content creation forever.

This man is out of control.

I actually believe that is true, because DSP is not the type of person that would then ask himself the next most logical question:

"Do I actually qualify for any of those jobs?"

Or in DSP's mind, he probably thought "of course I do!"

If you go with around $10K/month that we are figuring, DSP has grossed nearly one-half million dollars since September 2015.

I refuse to believe Phil Burnell (a man who once stated that there is a buyers market for cars and keeps changing his definition of a rainy day fund) is debt free.

He's too busy buying useless crap the weekend with Soulmaid.

The birthday sex with Khet must also have been amazing

View attachment 929962

Eh, I don't think Phil had sex with Khet for her birthday. She just left once dinner was done so she could get loved by several guys at once. Either that or the sex with Phil was putting a finger in a appropriate khet hole instead of a dick since he couldn't get hard

The only explanation is that he does it intentionally because he thinks it's petty revenge against the trolls. So he's willing to make his actual loyal and genuine audience suffer too just to get back at the trolls; not realizing that the trolls just use it as ammo.

He needs his detractors to come up with more memes so he can own them and make new emojis so he can get more subs.

It’s a lot of good info in visual form. However, I’m a big proponent of assigning Phillip “eras” instead of “sagas”, ie The Leanna Era, The Kat Era, The Kimberly Brink Era, The Modern Era, etc.

He said this back when he first moved to Renton as if Boeing, Microsoft, or anyone including McDonald’s or Wal-Mart was going to give any fucks about his decade plus legacy.

Are we entering The Boring Era?
