Just out of sheer curiosity and without trying to speak ill of the dead was Shannan Watts or her children ( the family murdered by the husband/father Chris Watts) ever discussed on any of the threads here ? In reading on the case many people claimed her Lupus was facticous disorder and people documented her extensive history of doctor shopping to get the litte girls diagnosed with asthma and tbh it was so disturbing and very likely.

There was some fucked up stuff going on in that family and both parents were behind horrible behavior towards those poor little girls.

I never heard of any of the medical stuff going on but Jim Can't Swim on You tube did 3 really good video of Chris Watts interrogation and the investigation.

also I do not for the life of me understand why someone would place their child for adoption with an adoptive mother with CF. Mary Frey's sister had a newborn placed with her. that right there tells me the adoption industry is corrupt. and that when these couples present their profiles they can omit stuff. at least Mary outright articulates that she recognizes it would be selfish / to adopt or have a kid.( that reminds me of Jaq's adoption plans - if they let her adopt that would definitively prove the adoption industry is corrupt.)

It might have been a privately arranged adoption, not via an agency which vets potential parents.

But also, unlike Mary her sister has had a lung transplant and is doing really well. Mary, at least when I last checked a year ago, didn't take care of herself well enough and so wasn't a candidate for a transplant.

Shannan claimed that Thrive bullshit , the patches in particular, she was selling cured her Lupus which isn't how Lupus works and when her autopsy was done there was no sign of her having Lupus or organ damage found in people with Lupus . She had a gallstone but otherwise was found to be in good health. There were also multiple friends and family members who raised concerns over her taking her daughters to several different doctors seeking an asthma diagnosis for both girls as well as seeking medical procedures and numerous medications. They were frequent emergency room fliers and supposedly had penut and nut allergies despite the girls being fed penut butter and Thrive bars with nut products in them and so on .

Shannan and Chris were both apparently very shady dishonest people and I was floored by things she did before they were together and things she did to people in the course of selling Lularoe, Thrive and several other mlm brands. Several people described her as being a grifter and she indeed did do some really lousy things to many people.

Two narcissists married and the rest is history. It is really heartbreaking that Chris and Shannan brought the little girls into the world with the histories they both had and sad that they decided another pregnancy would fix their marriage when they were in so much debt and fighting.

"Nurse." More like MA who graduated from a 3 month for-profit school paid for by welfare-to-work, at least around here. They have the rules for how to take a good BP printed on the wall right by the bed in the clinics, and it's still about 1/5 that does it halfway right.

I use the term "nurse" loosely. We churn through a lot of MAs here because the community college gave us the great honor of selecting us for their externships.

I still think you have to do home studies and such? The baby certainly did not come from the foster system. The agencies and the lawyers etc all just exist to make money. I am not sure about Mary being less complaint or not taking as good of care of herself as her sister. I would be interested to hear more if you know specifics. Women with CF can also have bio kids so the sister ain't all that healthy. Also, being on antirejection drugs with a transplanted organ sure as shit does not make you a healthy person. just being blunt the woman/couple who gave their kid to these people are dumb as fuck. a terminally ill mother does not constitute a "better life."

I thought you got on Medicaid or something like that right away when you are preggo. (I am Canadian so I don't know how it works.) I know diabetic women who go it alone outside of pregnancy and the only time they are even insured and get their supplies paid for is whilst pregnant.

In the UK pregnant women get free prescriptions and dental treatment. I know someone who took the advantage and had their teeth sorted out when they couldn't justify the cost otherwise.

I had to read this six times to sort it out. I hate this redacted crap.

Her partner would have to be a carrier in order for her to pass it on. (it is pretty easy to test a person to see if they are a carrier) Mary has stated she does not want to adopt or have a bio kid because she does not think it is right to stick a kid with a terminally ill mom. I think Mary is of sounder mine on this subject. I don't care what a fantastic job her sister does taking care of herself she has to know it was selfish sticking the kids with a terminally ill mom, and her husband should have known too. they are fundamentalists so it was the husband's call.

I don't get what that means though ? either you can take a manual BP or you can't. you have to at least learn to do it in school, but a lot of nurses forget. (I don't think you can really fuck it up or do a bad job taking one.)

I don't have any one particular link but this all comes from the 2000 plus pages law enforcement released recently, Reddit groups about the case, YouTube, several different blogs and DataLounge ( don't laugh) posts that actually provided links to Shannan's Thrive videos. There are numerous videos where the girls are crying and asking for food as they watch Shannan eat new products from Thrive then tells them they can't have any because she earned the products . Then there are the videos of her giving the girls Thrive products that clearly state they aren't for children. It is all surreal because she insisted on her toddler aged children be in the constant presence of her phone recording things they clearly were to young to understand or care about and Chris just allowed it to happen.

Information about Chris is obviously everywhere but in Shannan's case things about her that aren't flattering or are about her past of being accused of embezzlement from Dirty South Customs ,misreporting health issues , lying to people to get them on her mlm downline and her poor treatment of the girls get removed or buried from people saying you can't talk bad about her because she is dead and/or people accusing others speaking honestly of defending Chris . It is all just nuts because these same people say they don't understand why the murders happen then refuse to listen to anything that explains things about Chris and Shannan having trouble . There is so much here that isn't openly discussed but can be found in all of the information law enforcement released.

It had been over 20 years since I did my CNA training and did not pursue that career path so I can’t remember the exact whys or how’s that would cause a funky reading after multiple attempts. Its something to do with the restricted blood flow. Maybe a medical kiwi can chime in.

I do know that crossing your legs or malpositioning of the limb being tested can also cause false highs. High BPs are easy to fake. Same with respirations taken manually (seems to have moved to just taking blood/ox levels these days).
