It's possible but there's nothing official or in the rumor mill going on to even suggest laundering outside of obvious shitposting.Any word on whether or not there was some money laundering going on when Galaxy's Edge was being made?
Really, I'm drawing a blank on how these parks were $4 billion endeavors otherwise.
As for the 2.8 billion (and rising) budget (which after the most recent fiascos is probably closing in on 4 billion) I only know for absolute certain that each park cost 1.4 billion to make, totaling to 2.8 billion and that the animatronics were very expensive and I've posted their prices here before (can't remember though, but I think each animatronic cost less than 80mil?) but even the worth of the animatronics is nothing compared to billions. I also know that the majority of the budget went into the Kylo Ren rides in both parks, but I don't know the exact amount, although I remember reading somewhere that maybe it was over 300 million (and rising) and for comparison, the Cars/Radiator Springs ride cost around 200mil and is the most expensive ride in the world. The budget of the Smuggler's Run ride is unknown to me but its probably nowhere near as expensive as the Kylo Ren ride which is essentially a miniature park of its own whilst Smuggler's Run is an over-glorified arcade game with Star Tours elements. As for the SW hotel, I don't know if the budget for GE falls into that, but judging from all the supposed features, it may be Disney's most expensive hotel ever.
In the end, I wouldn't be surprised if Iger or some other execs were the ones hoarding cash since it was they who decided to cut back on park features like aliens, actors and rooftop performances.
Anyway, on to some more news. Jon Favreau has said that he wants to pitch his own Holiday Special to Disney+... Which either means a woke remake of the original (which was hinted at in the Certain Point of View novel) or a modern version with Rey, Finn and Poe celebrating Life Day with Chewbacca while Kylo Ren has a Grinch moment... Have I not suffered enough? Also people in the Netherlands who got a taste of Disney+ are upset because the Ewok movies aren't on Disney+ and have started making petitions and hashtags...
Also, just in case no one remembers, I mentioned a while back that the main character of the Mandalorian show could actually be one of Cuck Wendig's shitty OCs, specifically Cobb Vanth (link below).

Cobb Vanth
Cobb Vanth was a human male that lived around the time of the Battle of Endor. Once a slave, he rose to become a sheriff of Freetown on the planet Tatooine after acquiring a set of Mandalorian armor from Jawas in 4 ABY. The following year, Vanth enlisted the services of Jabba's former animal...

Which comes as no surprise since Favreau is a fucking Wendig supporter. But regardless, the reason I bring this up is because Entertainment Weekly has published an article going into detail about the characters of the Mandalorian. Among the confirmed things is that the MC's identity won't be revealed throughout the show and he will always be wearing his helmet. Also IG-11 is actually a comic relief droid with the mind of a toddler who is allowed to use guns. The article eventually veers off into bragging about the First Order and how the show is actually about their origin... Just fuck off already with that.
