Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Yes there was. And not just that, but even in Disney's shitty canon books they point out that Luke had to struggle to learn everything he did and that his piloting experience comes from his Skyhopper. Tards like Mr. Garcia (a fucking TV producer and novelist) and his twitter drones are only looking for any validation to defend Rian and Disney by any means while using broken arguments we've heard dozens of times before from drones like them.

Anyway, here's spoiler #1.

The orange X-Wing which I talked about in the IX leaks I posted before... Its official. Apparently its Poe's X-Wing but recolored, strangely the one at Galaxy's Edge is still black and orange rather than orange and white. Now I need to retrace my steps and remember which leak first mentioned the orange X-Wing. The one that does is probably right about other shit I should re-post so we know what bullshit to expect.

At least that retro styled packaging is pretty cool.

It is, but there's a dark secret behind it. Toy sales were at an all time low for Disney Wars shit so most new merch comes in Kenner boxes with retro looks to try and tug at the nostalgia addiction of Disney Wars consumers. Its helped to boost sales a little but not by much compared to sales around TFA and pre-Disney.

Yeah Luke's T-16 has always been the explanation, him and his dipshit pals were a bunch of street racing hicks taking potshots at wildlife in their ricers.
Yep, which is still a thing in pre-Disney and post-Disney lore, yet most nu-fans seem to have it in their head that Luke is some sort of omega Marty Stu that's even worse than Rey who can do and learn anything without a problem to try and justify Rey's characterization.

Just a country boy who kills pests for fun.

Anyway here's spoiler #2, 3 and 4.

#2: Bill Burr is in the new Mandalorian despite hating SW.

#3: The Rise of Skywalker is currently going through reshoots in Scotland now... Any ideas?

#4: Much like their Dark Empire counterparts (the Dark Troopers), Sith Trooper Elites of the 105th are literal siths apprentices infused with the dark side to enhance their skills (I think I mentioned this before), but unlike Dark Troopers, Sith Troopers wield lightsabers. Their custom double bladed lightsabers were first revealed at Disneyland's Star Traders. Supposedly they will be facing off against Rey during the final half of the film in some sort of "improved" version of her fight with Snoke's red guards which has been laughed at by professional stuntmen and combat experts.

Why are people suddenly acting like Disney forming their own canon suddenly means that SW is now somehow a real place that somehow exists instead of just another corporate media whore whose canon will get retconned as soon as its convenient? Are modern fandoms really that disconnected from reality?

Not just SW fans, but a lot of movie-goers seem to believe movie-verses are real places. I believe we saw the same thing with Black Panther and all the woke people who were convinced that Wakanda was an actual thing. It's one thing to realize many movies are fiction while still considering what parts are valid or able to be incorporated into one's life. One LARPing as if part of the movie while ignoring one's reality, however, is head-scratching.

I'm sure there's something to be said about people who sperg about their favorite fandoms as if they are real things while ignoring the daily reality in front of them. The same people that dismiss critics with constructive criticism of their fandom as basement-dwelling losers are the same that get so immersed into their fandoms that they ignore the real-life people and relationships around them.

You mean Arabs?
That's only in Disney Star Wars where the Tusken Raiders exist to show off how great and feminist Islam is. But I'd kill them anyway, they're a bunch of assholes and Jawas are a bunch of thieves and scammers, the Gypsies of Tatooine. I don't get why nobody requested the Republic or Empire do some orbital bombardment of the most infested areas of the planet, unless the Hutts are in league with the Tuskens and Jawas to fuck with everyone else there.

Fucking hell, isn't that also the plot of Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy? The Sith troopers also look like terrible rip-offs of the Imperial Knights from the Legacy comics, and the idea that there are actually a bunch of Sith apprentices (never even hinted at before now, of course!) running around in defiance of the Rule of Two reminds me of Darth Krayt's empire.

There are years between the three films. Aside from the force pull which was probably just instinct, Luke had plenty of time to learn and build things. In ANH his piloting skills are brought up constantly in dialogue to make it easier to swallow.

>Muh space wizards.

Eh Adam will never read this rebuttal on a Floridian shitposting forum... but I already wrote it so

Among the confirmed things is that the MC's identity won't be revealed throughout the show and he will always be wearing his helmet. Also IG-11 is actually a comic relief droid with the mind of a toddler who is allowed to use guns. The article eventually veers off into bragging about the First Order and how the show is actually about their origin... Just fuck off already with that.
I'm not holding out hope for it. Some of the teaser that was posted was ok, but it didn't look too inspired although I'm sure the shit angle/phone capture didn't help. The quick edits at the end showing the MC being beaten up by a girl makes me think i know what direction it's going to go in.
What's his justification for some of the faggy shit in Nu Wars? He really appreciate the name "Zorri Bliss?"

Now wait a minute, wasn't there a line about him piloting some ship and killing "Womp rats" with it?

In universe, Luke flew a T-16 made by Incom, who also made the T-65 - better known to nerf-herding normies as "the X-wing", so makes sense Luke with natural born skill and experience in Incom craft would be able to pick up how fly a fighter made by that same company. Even with his force-given skill, its implied that piloting the Falcon is beyond his abilities in the first movie.

This is compared to Marey Sue, who goes from driving whatever that hovercycle shit is to piloting & fixing the Falcon better than the guy who'd owned it for years while never closing her mouth.

The truly irritating thing is how easy this would have been to fix. Instead of some desert dweller making a cool secret club house in an AT-AT for max nostalgia m;lking, have her be some space trucker flying another YT-series looting orbital debris. Or just have her life as a scavenger make her an expert at only repair, not a pilot. The effort to not make things as shit is minimal, but they didn't even try.

Say what you will about the movies and reshoots, but at least the new Hutt animatronics in GE are on point

This is who modern nerd media is made for, just let that sink in.

Wasn't that the original idea? That she was a scavenger on a junkyard planet?
