I think, in some way, it's a good thing for there to be a place where the ISWV opinion is archived. KV dominates news articles and twitter. If someone wanted to look back at this event and get the other sides opinion, you'd find a substantial amount here.

Also, I generally do like reading other peoples opinion. They can bring up different ways of seeing something - the poly thread is just people bitching, but it's fun to read because people go in depth about why poly is a bad idea. It's the same way a layman can watch a bad movie but not pinpoint why it's bad, but a critic can.

We're not robots - although you're right in that there is a substantial amount of autistic posts that can be deleted, newfags obviously don't know where to go on this site and end up bitching here.

The tl;dr is that the rape is highly sexualized and glorified, designed to titillate too often and never treated with the proper seriousness, because the animanga refuses to actually develop characters. It's ultimately just a crappy anime that tries to tone goblin rape hentai down to ecchi to make it a normal anime. The rape scene is absolutly not glorified, it's designed to shock the viewer right off the bat and it's definitly treated with the upmost seriousness, even showing that the victim will be broken for the rest of her life, despite being a random character that you'll never get to see again.
The show does develop a specific character, but character development is mostly made backward, you don't actually see the main character evolve, instead you learn how he previously became who he is now.

Actually, most of that was my assessment of the anime, having watched the entire thing. I got into detail about it way earlier in the thread, though, so I don't feel like getting into it again. The short of it is that the SJWs have an even more extreme and dismissive view of it that boils down to 'not enough rapists bad, kill rapists'. There's a hugely different tone and approach for how they handle goblins and how LAO:SVU handles rapists. SJWs want the latter.

Also, you are incorrect. Every single character, bar none, lack a name. They only have class names or such. 'Guild girl', 'High Priestess', etc.

Still, even on the HF part, it's still not as bullshitty as some other animes are: Characters have ranks and classes, but the show doesn't talk about LP, XP, and other dumbass numerical stuffs. Magic have rules that are explained right away, and the show stands by those rules, not too much McGuffin magic that does whatever the plot needs when it's needed. Plus it does twist one of the main HF tropes in its core concept. But let stop there, I'm being a bit autistic too...

An observant and intelligent Liberator who becomes Mamori's partner after arriving on the island with her. She doesn't speak much but is very protective of Mamori and is shown to be very powerful. Despite having a mature appearance, she is actually a year younger than Mamori. She is a former Soldier (code name C7), a member of an experimental military unit which tested Mirei and her partner's A Virus powers for warfare applications. As a result, Mirei's body contains a special ability known as Enhance, implanted nano-cybernetics which grant her enhanced strength but causes a great deal of stress on her body. Because of her unwillingness to kill a defenseless enemy, Mirei was set to be terminated, but was saved by one of the scientists who gave her her enhancement. Driven into isolation, Mirei found in Mamori a new reason to live.

I don't think its been mentioned yet but one of the major reasons that Goblin Slayer got so much attention was because of crunchyroll's incompetence regarding their release of the first episode. They are known for putting warnings in front of episodes that might have more "extreme" content, for some reason there was none for Goblin Slayer episode one. People who were animeonly received quite a shock and took to forums/twitter to voice their upset and give warnings about content that crunchyroll normally has from the start. It spread from there until, can't remember 100%, crunchyroll had to release an apology for their fuck up days after it happened.

If it had been properly labeled in the first place it probably would have cut down on a lot of the whining, not all of it, but at least some of it.

Freezing! in anime form is super bizarre, as it has lots of rape as titillation thrown in the mix with rape as drama/treated seriously. It will mood whiplash between a character humiliating the heroine who has PTSD by basically filming her classmates raping her, and then switch to the protagonist accidentally groping said heroine.
