I do do that. A lot, actually. You’re making an awful lot of assumptions based on a few posts.
Also, I just think it’s funny that the Trump Derangement Syndrome thread is rarely if ever called out for being a circlejerk (even though many of them bend over backwards to excuse criticism of Trump) whereas this thread is constantly accused of being a “hugbox” because we say mean things about Trump and his supporters.

Doubtful, only because if Hillary won she would have been a fairly boring normie tier president like Obama and Bush before her. You'd still get people exceptionally angry at her or her opponents over policy decisions, but you wouldn't get this near nuclear their autism the far left and right have over Trump being either pure Hitler or the Second Coming.
Hillary meanwhile was a career politician through and through. Other than some hangers of of hers and Trump's from the election, I can't see her having the same power to generate retarded drama every week that causes both sides to dig their battle lines even deeper for no actual gain or reason.
Right now the truth is Dem vs Rep has just become a contest of which party can shit their pants the hardest.

I remember, rather distinctly, that most people, myself included, had bought into the narrative that Hilary was going to win, Republicans were pretty much resigned to the idea of Hilary as president. The fact that Trump won was a huge surprise to everyone, Republican or Democrat. We were spoon fed over and over that Trump had no way of winning, that the election was Clinton's to win and there are hours upon hours of footage stating that fact repeatedly. It was so pronounced that fucking Hilary didn't even show up the night of the election for a congratulations speech. I highly, HIGHLY doubt we'd be in the same situation if Clinton had won.

Given that people here are still bitching about Hillary even after she lost and all the controversy surrounding her I highly doubt there wouldn't be some Rightwing hysteria about her causing WW3 or some shit if she won.
Especially if a politician as Milquetoast as Obama had Texas threatening to secede every other week during his presidency.
