And Marchi's probably way more whipsawed emotionally.
Monica is probably a bit more realistic, but I don't believe for a second that Marchi will accept any kind of settlement that isn't just "give Marchi everything she wants".
I am looking forward to it, either way. It's going to be funny.
Vic may have the resources but Vic "just wants to work", and Ty thinks you "fix business disputes by doing more business".
I really think both of them mean it, and some fans are not hearing how ready Ty and Vic are to settle.

I personally hope they NEVER do, but I've heard nick say these things many times, and I can't deny it because I want a different result.

Vic has the resources to sit on this for years, the defendants are not walking anything back. The trenches are dug and the siege may begin.

They can be as ready as anything, but it takes two sides to settle. Vic wants apologies and walk-backs of the accusations so that he can get on with his life, but unless the others are willing to give him that, no settlement can happen.

Whether it's true or false, what is the one thing you don't want to do? Acknowledge it. Nobody is going to act like the affidavit exists because if they do, it's damning that it's probably true. If Funi immediately fires Huber, then the casting couch may as well be real. We don't know. It could be a made up lie which is important. So I'm not expecting much to happen to Huber purely for Funi to save face.

One "feature" of metoo style accusations that makes them so popular is there's no way to defend against them. If they don't fire Huber, they're admitting it's true, because why would you continue to employ someone who was making up completely crazy lies about their employer?

If they do fire Huber, though, they're retaliating against him, just as he said, because it's true.

Bizarrely, the only response from Funimation agents and employees like Monica Rial was something that read a lot like she was flat out confirming it was true.

I keep saying "I'll step back from this" but it hasn't slowed down. With my luck the casting couch stuff will be confirmed when I actually do walk away.

Anyway, Monica and Marchi started this thing in a hugbox and they only retreated deeper into it. Lemoine was probably promising that the judge would end this on September 6th. T. Greg was running around confirming it. You get media attention supporting you.

Then the September 6th hearing doesn't end it. You stew for almost 2 weeks in anxiety and anger because everyone promised this would be done. Then the judge comes out, gives you the free legal advice "this won't be done for years" and orders you to mediation.

Nothing is going according to plan. Two of Monica's lawyers (Casey and Andrea) might have left the lawsuit or are keeping as far away as possible. Marchi can still be brought back in on appeals.

My point is that it is easy to keep up an act on social media. But when reality isn't meeting your expectations and doubts start creeping in, all that bravado crumbles in real life.

I'm saying that there is a possibility that Monica and Jamie would consider settling. The judge is the first adversary with the power to call them out on their bullshit.

"Lawsuit? Nah fam, TCPA!"
"TCPA WILL be overturned at some point."
"Oh. Oh fuck. Fuck. FUCK."
Another thing to consider, them going against a steadily increasing GFM, designed to "ground em into the dirt", for years.

So Chuck Huber is at SaiyaCon doing a panel with Ian Sinclar, Josh Martin, and Chris Rager. So yeah thats off putting

This is how professionals should act. The alternative is they whine and cry to the convention to kick Chuck Huber off the panel or they breach their contract and refuse to do the panel with him. That goes for Chuck Huber too. It was probably in his contract that he was required to do x number of panels.

I mean let's all be honest here: why would it be confusing? You don't think people who hate each other aren't willing to sit next to each other to put on a fact act like they get along. It shouldn't really be a foreign concept to anyone. I also know these aren't the brightest people in the world, but let's just take a minute to think. Whether it's true or false, what is the one thing you don't want to do? Acknowledge it. Nobody is going to act like the affidavit exists because if they do, it's damning that it's probably true. Most of the stuff we know to be true is funny enough because Monica verified it. She revealed info about the investigation, verified the Jellybean Story, and that Sony was the one to do the investigation.
Huber isn't also unbelievably petty to let something like disagreements get in the way of being professional and making money, it's all part of the job. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and work with people you hate or dislike because to make a big deal about it and act like a cunt is unprofessional. Why should the fans and people who attend the con be punished for their own personal hang-ups? It's not fair to those people if you selfishly ruin their good time and faith because you don't know how to be civil for an hour or two.

A vaguely-interesting recent event of note: TFS has made an announcement about their Abridged stuff.
Most of it is unrelated to Weeb Wars - a guy from the team is explaining that doing the same fucking show for eleven years in a row is a bit tiring, that they're burnt out of content for it and that the most recent project of theirs is not coming along well at all because of its nature and that the next big thing is a long way away.
What is interesting in the context of the Weeb Wars, however, is this particular bit.

It's by no means a secret that TFS has been in the crosshairs of Toei for years by now. I do have to wonder, though, if this much of attention pointed at that their new, non-Abridged project won't be as easy to attack by Toei hints to them understanding that Sabat might not be able to bestow his sacred ointment upon them.
It'll be hilarious if they end up jumping ship and maybe tell on Sabat's less than legal activities.

She also said that he already quit Funi during this. Correct me if I am wrong. Also lets play a game. Lets name all the lies Monica has said

She said that over 25 women were in the investigation. It was actually 3

She said Vic was fired from Sentai. He wasn't

She said that JP didn't have the original Va for Broly for the Super movie. They did.

She says that Vic uses his Unlocked to go send his fans after his "victims". Yeah I don't even need to say how much of a lie that is

She says Stan Dahlin saved her. Stan says otherwise.

Anyone got more?

Yes. Going off topic and creating shit to talk about when it isn't necessary does create problems, it's the reason why stupid gay ops were going on and people were dumb enough to believe them, it's why there's so much shit in this thread that a lot of people just can't keep up with it anymore, and it's why em isn't around to babysit this forum anymore.
Didn't Emspex leave because of the leaks? And has been stated, there are other threads with more focused posting. That's kinda why we have so many specific threads. You can pick and choose what you wanna follow.

Completely off topic (lol), but I found something cool.

Apparently Vic took part in this Fallout series on YT (yes, as in the gaming franchise).

(have no idea how to achive videos; could only upload it here in potato quality)

He plays the mysterious stranger (37:24) (17:38)

Also features Doug Jones and Michele Specht (who's truthfully not that great at acting). Vic on the other hand is quite good. Goes to show again that Voice acting is only one of his many talents. Think Ty mentioned once saying to him: "I hate you because you're so talented."

Specht turns out to not be that good at anything, except being a lame, bitter cunt.

It would be unfortunate if it came out that Jamie Marchi had a habit of hitting guys in the crotch.

I am hoping he has plenty of other recordings available on hand. I'd love to hear Marchi's raving insanity. Pity that cassette tape is an template thing. Though, she must have done something repeatedly or expressed somthing repeatedly for him to have even created this.
