That was before the new mods. Since r/The_Donald before had different mods and were free to make anti-semetic jokes. However, mods were added that were more against antisemitism, and when that happened, /pol/ hated the subreddit.

Maher has plenty of out-there opinions but I wouldn’t call him a lolcow. Even less so because he tends to keep his personal life private and really doesn’t get involved in drama irl or anything. Having weird personal opinions and being unable to back them up well would qualify 90% of Twitter as lolcows

And I would probably be more active in an HDS thread, even though I hate her. It just might be more capable of stopping itself from becoming the TDS thread. Or the more rightward shift that happened around the Trump era on here may not have happened as strongly and attracted so many A&H posters who seem to get into trouble when they wander into other sections.
Then there may not be so many people who complain that laughing at cows is promoting a hugbox.
Not really SJWs have no real grasp on (nor do they really care to) economics or socialist theory. A ton of these people are faux woke corporate types. That'd be like calling google far left. It isn't, it's just dysfunctional and occasionally partisan to the detriment of itself and others. Thinking this shit is particularly the fault of extreme/radical leftism doesn't actually deal with the root of the problem which is tribalism and Centrists are guilty many times of this too. Obama Derangement Syndrome was pretty hardcore though. And the X Derangement Syndrome was coined during the Bush years by Charles Krauthammer. You don't have to be a bizarre clown/clown magnet like Trump is to rev up the engines of complete psychos, you just need to be prominent and disagree with them. And in the US, nobody's more prominent than the Prez.
A multimedia thread would work on him, IMO. The doof said Amy Klobuchar would be a good "compromise candidate" and watching that clip made me die a little bit inside.

During the Rogan / Pool interview with Jack Dorsey, Tim asked if the environment at Twitter was heavily left-wing, and Jack responded something along the lines of "while we don't have a litmus test for ideology when we hire, all these people are coming from the same region, I.E. silicon valley, los angeles area," which contains some mutated form of liberal, "woke" idealism from the west coast. Definitely tribal, but there is some inherent leftist, or at least anti-right, anti-republican sentiment.
I definitely think you're right about SJWs having no concept of the systems they claim to hate. It does seem the more they shake up and destabilize their respective industries (comics, games, IT) they reveal no real planning to go forward. Content: The Donald finally cops to the fact that they are bullying a teenager.
The facts - Greta Thunberg is being manipulated by the news media in order to push the climate change narrative. Because Thunberg is mentally handicapped and probably because her family are attention whores, she's been tricked into going along with it. Like many teenagers she is a zealot for a pet cause because adults give her positive attention for it. The fact that she gets to go on vacation on the UN dime probably doesn't hurt either. In short, she is a dumbass kid but ultimately still a kid.
This ties into the Covington thing because the Covington students were dragged by the news media because one of them was a white male. Conservatives didn't like this and honestly, good for them. The idea that teenagers should be bullied because of preconceived notions about politics is absurd. Teens have agency and responsibilities but they're not responsible for political anything. It's always the adults propping them up behind the scenes that are the true cause. Political activists teenagers are like transgender 6 year olds, you know who's really calling the shots.
With all of that being known, the_Donald responds with their usual tact and calm:

The main difference between the two is that Nick Sandmann wasn't a public figure, and Greta is an incredibly public figure who's being set up as a bigger Messiah than Jesus.
