Louis passed a bunch of reforms that pissed off the other powerful aristocracy in France. Then he got blamed for the debt and everything else, which was in part because all those powerful people wanted his head. Then everyone got guillotined. The main thing that struck me in Idiocracy that it wasn’t really idiots being idiots, most of the future people’s behaviour was what idiots being exploited by smarter people would do, which didn’t make sense if all the smart people were bred out generations ago.

I'm not an expert on Saudi Arabia or Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and I don't really want to go around defending Bob, but I don't think that the claim that MbS isn't an intelligent person isn't entirely unfair. Monarchs often have an inner circle of advisors and underlings to help them out and it's very likely that MbS inherited the advisors and underlings of his father.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but normally in Saudi Arabia the crown rotates between three 'clans' that all descended from their original king (remember, these guys are Muslims and practice polygamy). MbS and his father are on track to break tradition by putting doing all, but MbS on the throne as his father grows old and weak. The crown should be going to MbS's half-uncle, but it looks like that's not going to happen.
Now, what I want to know is how Bob reached his conclusions. Is he just misinformed or does he believe that smart people can't also be bad?

Reminder that Bob has repeatedly claimed the mantle of "working class," owing to his suburban Boston upbringing and his relatives' professions (his grandfather being a plumber springs to mind). It's not stupidity so much as an intellectual oiliness, saying whatever seems most convenient to whatever asinine point he's trying to make at the time.

Louis the XVI was a basically decent guy who inherited his grandfather's mess (massive debt and a totally fucked government), tried to fix it, but it was too late to stop the shit from hitting the fan. And his wife Marie Antoinette got murdered despite being neither a criminal nor a threat because people hated her for being a foreigner. The "let them eat cake" line was agitprop bullshit. Notice there aren't any names attached to it besides Antoinette herself. Who'd she say it to? Who wrote it down? Pro revolutionary writings of the time stirring up outrage at her being Austrian is a matter of record though, but certain people who romanticize the French Revolution like to sweep those under the rug, because rampant xenophobia doesn't jive well with certain ideologies they're trying to promote.
Pardon the off topic sperging, but yeah, Louis and Marie literally did nothing wrong.

The other thing with the quote “let them eat cake” is that it was not said out of malice, but out of naive ignorance. Apparently, Marie Antoinette was told that the people of Paris had no bread to eat, and with scarcity just not being something within her frame of reference, she assumed that having no bread meant there must be something else to eat, not aware that people could simply not have the money to be able to purchase food.

It's always about the needs of the second with Bob. With exceptions being his rage, his ability to spergout and his desire for harm to befall those he hates, there is nothing consistent about Bob. Everything can and will be sacrificed by Bob at some point. Whether it be his views, standards or ethics.
How many times has he flip flopped on whether video games cause violence? Or him taking a stand against autistic being used as an insult while the phrase "autism blackface" remains a remarkable piece of Bob lore? What about him claiming to have cured his diabetes only to claim he's still living with it later on? Or the ten million different opinions he has given on doxxing?
Even with things like Gamergate. The most evil thing ever that has absolutely no redeeming qualities or basis for existing. The entire thing that he torpedoed his reputation and career over. The thing he lost his mind over and still continues to bring up in the present day.
It suddenly wasn't such an evil and heinous concept to him when an angry internet mob went after one of his friends for wanting to discuss it.

I know I shouldn't be surprised at the "superior" Bobert being ignorant as all Hell, but comparing MBS to Louis XVI is a new level of stupid. Louis was an indecisive, weak dullard who basically did whatever the last person to speak to him recommended, spent most of his time on his hobbies and probably hated being King. He inherited a kingdom that was already on the verge of collapse from debt and poor governance and simply failed to fix it. MBS is a power-hungry, restless and despotic man of action with no inhibitions. He is actively trying to change his country, for better or worse (I'd say worse, he's made Saudi Arabia's shitty reputation even shittier with the Yemen war and the Khashoggi debacle).
But of course the study of history is only for obsolete white men; Superior Beings™ like Bobby only need care about the Superior Future ™, not the past!

Well it's pretty clear in the movie that all the systems set up to exploit the idiots but also help keep them alive and functioning were set up by smart people who are long gone and everything is automated now. The crisis is happening because no one alive knows how to fix anything or make any changes to the systems, even the slightly smarter people, and all the infrastructure is falling apart.
I would also like to point out that Idiocracy doesn't really work as a critique of capitalism because the complaints of the movie would just as easily apply under a working socialist system. In any system with advanced technology and a high standard of living (which is supposed to be the goal with socialism as well), morons outbreed smart people because smart people are more careful about having kids responsibly and the morons no longer get weeded out by natural selection (I think it's a bit more complicated than that IRL, but that's the premise of the movie). So the only way a socialist or communist system would get around this would be if it didn't work and people starved, or it was some sort of Social Darwinist socialism...

In a place like Boston, there should be enough chubby-chasers, bottom-feeders, freaks, and just plain desperate guys for Bob to get some form of sex on the semi-regular. Remember that any gay dating scene (where it's large enough to exist) is still an order of magnitude or two smaller than it's straight counterpart, so a small population combined with high promiscuity means there's generally very few degrees of (sexual) separation between any two guys. It's this tight-knit network effect that allows people like our own Dylan Hafertepen to locate and recruit his victims.
Now, Bob may think that as the harbinger of the Superior Future, he's owed a harem of moon-wheat-fed Abercrombie models. But most guys' standards drop drastically as the night wears on, and I guarantee that there would be at least a few guys at last call who would choose Bob over going home alone.
