TGWTG Allison Pregler / Obscurus Lupa / Movie Nights - The vindictive leader of #ChangeTheChannel, GOTIS personified, vendetta against The Cinema Snob

I suspect she did. The way she'd sometimes look at him at Midnight screenings. I still find it funny that her and Phelous haven't done any crossovers in a long time. They used to do that a lot but it seems to have stopped after the whole CTC thing. 🤔
But did she ever say anything? Brad used to always claim Allison and Phelan were happy together when the topic came up, and he might have genuinely thought that so never entertained the idea. Meanwhile, Allison was probably waiting for Brad to make his move and so became heart broken over it never happening.

Or she did get rejected and is still bitter about it.

I would guess the former based on how gradual it was. She's not the type of person to keep quiet about it and take it with an ounce of grace. She would've been on Twitter not 5 minutes after she was rejected calling him an awful person while playing the victim.

Yup, that was one of the articles that sticks out in my memory.

The internet used to be such a great place, I always kinda knew it was going to get ruined one day and I was right, but it's just a shame how quickly and how thoroughly it happened beyond my worst expectations.

I personally didn't even have regular internet for a decade before it went to shit.
IMO, the internet was always shit.

It just use to be a fun kind of shit.

To quote Bill McNeal, Phil Hartman's character in the underrated 90's sitcom NewsRadio: "Show me a woman who isn't jealous of another woman, and I'll show you a man."

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that he did reject her, in a normal way a person would reject someone they just think of as a friend, and she dwelt on it long enough in her rancid deranged mind that it became him hatefully and spitefully tossing her away like garbage.

I can believe that.

Wow, I'm surprised people remember NewsRadio. I think I was one of the dozen people that watched it when new episodes were on TV.

Now I wonder about her and JewWario if she's attracted to balding middle aged men.

You know, maybe "rejected lover" is a stretch and things are much simpler? Brad was her friend, they've done a lot of stuff together, but her CTC shit was like GayGate - you are either one of us or one of them, and between her and that filthy ignorant Doug Walker, he chose Doug. Add to this, that Alison had this grudge against CA and it's creators for years, she simply isn't able to forgive and forget.

Lupa won't shut up on twitter about people gate keeping Star Trek to her. She has been a content provider for what, a decade now? Shouldn't she have matured enough over that time period to know not to engage with comment section trolls?

>Lupa
>matured

Nevermind I answered my own question. If that weren't enough she's also bragging about getting 50k views on one of her weird Trek videos. I thought her channel had 50k subs and her Twitter has 23k. Those are rookie numbers for someone in the game so long, yet she crows about how amazing it is. I honestly feel just a tiny bit sad for her. It's like her entire personality is tied to being a youtuber who likes "not like the other girls" stuff. Baywatch! Star Trek! Obscure movies! So randummm. Didn't we as a society leave that kind of behavior behind in like 2006? Good to know she truly hasn't matured past when she first started making videos. She's permanently stuck in that mentality, frozen in time.

I looked at both the Trek episodes she as to look for troll comments and didn't find any. Granted I didn't look through all of the comments, but I scrolled down quite a bit before I gave up. This means that she's looking for trolls to feed her victim complex, surprise surprise. She just has to play the part of the poor little nerd girl that gets picked on by the bad nerd boys.

now that you mention it, the only times she has made collabs with other women is when they invite her, and most of her work (save from those ugly title cards that were drawn by a woman) has been done to appeal to men.
She truly is the GOTIS.

I'm trying to remember who JD Shadow is, but apparently Lupa is still on the war path with anything related to Brad.

She's also blocking all people that follow the Brad's twitter. My account that I don't use much and never tweeted at her got blocked at some point.

Edit: Got name wrong still can't remember who it is.

I wondered what the fuck DJ Shadow had to do with Channel Awesome, then I saw it was JD Shadow.*

She has a precedent for copyright striking people who reupload her old videos that she wasn't planning to reupload, but striking a video because "Reee Brad" is some new bullshit. This and the reee-editing isn't Brad living rent-free in her head, this is Brad snapping up all the real estate her brain has to offer.

Now that I think about it, did she make fun of Doug for cutting out That Sci-Fi Guy in his Road Chip review?

*And Endtroducing still slaps. That is all.

and you know what's gonna happen now? There's gonna be some reddit thread about my "latest meltdown" or how hysterical I'm being because I'm not allowed to be angry or defend myself.
I'm sure I've said this before, but every woman I've worked with who says this has been an utter bitch who makes the job that much harder for everyone else. So far she isn't breaking the trend.

Just curious since the two are dating, but what's the consensus on Phelous?

Somewhere I read he was seen as the only cool member of Channel Awesome because he once made fun of Doug "acting like a real director," but watching Phelous' videos, they can be entertaining and even informative but his sense of humor is often puerile, autistic, and repetitive. And I get the feeling he hates criticism as much as the rest of CA.

I'm mixed on Phelous' recent output. I actually do find some of the animated movie reviews funny, but in the back of my mind I can't help but think there's something wrong with making tons of videos about cheapo cash-in cartoons that litter bargain bins and Dollar General stores.

I'd argue more in a favor of "always", though this is why I've found him entertaining for some time in a "so cringy, it's actually funny" way. I don't know how much of his stick is deliberate and how much is genuine though.

People want that and he is happy to deliver.

As far as I've seen, the general consensus is he's an okay guy, he's just weighed down by Lupa and probably would have been better off hooking up with someone else. He never really took himself that seriously and tended to do storylines only to make fun of other reviewers doing storylines... at least back when I watched him. It's been a long time since I've done that.
