Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Speaking of "CYBERFROG: WARTS AND ALL," @FROG are you going to include Cyberfrog #1-2 from 1994 in the omnibus or can you?

It’s a book called “Cyberfrog” about a mutant frog
It's also "Cyberfrog" the book that was relentlessly hyped up by the creator as the best work he ever did" with every single delay being excused with similar words. Can't blame people for buying into hype.

The FOURTH campaign!!! Variant cover scams aren't offering more product to people who want it. It's forcing retailers to stock multiple copies of the same book, which makes them buy more copies than they know they have customers for, which bumps up their numbers.

There is NO DEMAND for that.

I'm simply meeting the demand for Frog books!
Come on there's no way you're forgetting about cucked collectors. There is also a problem of collecting types buying every single variant because they hope to sell it. there is an argument to be made about stupid people wanting to be scammed, but the points about you playing on that echo of the speculator boom is still valid.

 I'm curious as to how you know this information.

5:58 is definitely traced
@FROG correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you offer to include the likeness of some of your backers in this book? Is that why this person says it's traced?

Perhaps “scam” isn’t the word I’m looking for. If you’re fulfilling the books, and said books are actually filled with pictures and words as promised then people are getting what they paid for. I’m just curious what the sales numbers would be if each subsequent campaign didn’t come with a new cover.

That said, it’s less egregious (and confusing) than the IGGs we’ve seen with a million billion covers and - in some cases - multiple books in a single campaign (also with variant covers).

The sales numbers would be LESS. But since I'm here to sell MORE, and since there's a collector's market to appease, I'm happy to simultaneously pick up NEW readers, create demand for versions that are now out of print, and give collectors something new to consider buying.

We did this with GREEN LANTERN REBIRTH. The initial offering was sold out, so we re-offered it with a new cover. We did this five times, and of course, some people bought all of the variants. But it also allowed latecomers a chance to get on board, and then gave them the earlier printings to chase after on the secondary market. It's a good idea.

Yes, most definitely! I'm considering also having color reprint versions of those released next year. CYBERFROG WARTS AND ALL will have every scrap of nonsense I can find in it. I just made a deal with Trent Kaniuga to be able to include CYBERFROG vs. CREED as well, so that's really the only copyright hurdle I had to confront. It'll be as complete as possible.

It's the first chapter of FOUR BOOKS, which represents something like CYBERFROG Season 1. All of the books will flow seemlessly into one another to create one complete story. And yes, I do believe it's the best thing I've ever drawn, and since I haven't written very much, it's the best thing I've ever written.

As for "cucked collectors", dude, it's people with extra money who enjoy buying comics. I don't ask them their motives. I'm sure some hope to sell them down the road, and as long as I keep doing this book, I'll bet they'll be able to. How many reprints and variants has WALKING DEAD #1 seen?

As for a "speculator boom," WTF dude. I'm just one guy with a book that people are excited about at the moment. Allow me to make some money from a year of hard work on this thing. There's much more to come, so if me producing reprints, variants and new books based on the IPs I created bothers you, you're going to need some sedatives.

The only traced image in this book is "Meghan", whose mother asked that she be a "survivor" in this issue. Meghan passed away 8 years ago, and her mom wanted her to live on in this comic book. I was given photo reference and lightboxed it.

@TrunksFromDragonballGT Well, there go.

This guy is approaching lolcow status himself.

Yeah Ethan went in hard on him this morning. The guy is like 60 years old and still acting like a drama queen with his videos where he rambles on and on about nothing.

Ol' Mr. Boyette is gonna try to get law enforcement involved to deal with War Campaign. War Campaign is full of faggots but good luck getting the cops to care about memes I guess.

I really don't get this. Boyette handled being SWATTED with less drama than he is this Twitter spergery.

Also, Zach rambled on for about ten minutes (of a twenty five minute) video about how Cyberfrog's printing is completely fine and is something only cameras pick up. At one point doth he protesteth too much? He also got the same two cards the other guy did, so I guess maybe we should assume there's only two cards?

I wouldn’t know. I didn’t open my pack.
