Politico has to be one of the few mainstream outlets left with any journalists that even know what journalism is supposed to be about, especially when they do this sort of "long form" reporting. One of their previous ones about the
Obama-Hezbollah scandal was a really fantastic piece of work, and now apparently they're digging into
Biden's history and dragging the rest of his family in with it.
It's a good example as to why I never panic when it comes to politics, though. A month ago there were more than a small handful of people out there in the world who thought that Biden had a pretty significant chance of making a run at the office, and now he's completely dead in the water. We might not always be able to see the sucker punches ahead of time, but there's one lined up and waiting for every single person who's going to try and step between Trump and re-election. It doesn't matter who they nominate because it's Washington D.C.
Everyone has dirt on them, it's just a matter of taking the right swing at the right time and you can take a front-runner from the DNC from the top of the stack to the middle of the list in the span of a
few days.
Does anyone
really think that Trump only learned about Biden's shady dealings just a week or two ago? Granted you could easily argue that if he knew about it all of this time, why did he wait until
now to expose it, but that's because it's easier to bait a trap than it is to go out hunting. Why expose Biden two years ago and give the media and the public all of this time to quit caring, when instead you can wait until Biden's leading the races for the DNC, wait until they've walked into your trap and try to spring a new ___Gate scandal on you, and then
kneecap their front-runner on the national stage and reverse their newest, biggest "weapon" at the same time.
After awhile people are going to have to start admitting to themselves that it's really not dumb, blind luck anymore.
