More precisely, Lucas is ugly inside and out. A physically unattractive man can still find women who want him if he has a good personality or other things to offer. I am both horrified and entertained by discovering a lolcow legitimately more horrifying than Russhole. And he even has an edge in the looks department, but he sure kills it with that personality. And unlike Russ, who may or may not still be employed (probably as a janitor), this guy is nothing but a drain on society and its resources.

In all seriousness, I suspect it must be like living in a permanent dream state -- those really weird dreams which "make sense" when you're dreaming, but as soon as you wake up you realize how completely insane and nonsensical it was. "Hey, I just realized that the kindergarten kid next door was also my own kindergarten teacher from back in the day, and my house is a space station orbiting the Earth and I have to live here because I need my car to commute to work and the local zoning board only allows driveways and garages to be built in outer space and...." Like that, forever, only you NEVER wake up to reality.
Which is why, when Lucas is not being actively repugnant, I genuinely do feel sorry for him.
