The only thing I have seen people cite was some video from when he was a young undergrad saying that he had applied and possibly been accepted to a summer researching internship. Becoming a practicing MD takes many many years even after undergrad completion. Anyone have an actual source? The percent of people that become Doctors out of the people who say they want to become a doctor while undergrads is like 10%. I had heard he married Kacey. I mean I’ve personally seen some pretty ugly doctors, male and female alike. Not all of them have trophy wives. Plus there’s a difference between being a doctor and being a successful doctor, sort of like how Chris is technically a “cartoonist”.

Personally I don't care, I just thought someone would have evidence of him being an Oncologist other than some goofy video filmed when he was 19, especially based on how much I see people drop it as fact.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m not devaluing the academic weight and level of accomplishment needed to earn medical degrees, but “Doctor” is one of those job titles where success is implicit. Doctors are still human, though. They’re not immune from drug addiction or mental illness, or even just being fucking loony. I mean, look at Jack Kevorkian. Yeah, he fought for a cause he believed in (a patient’s right to self-euthanize), but he spent almost a decade in prison and was legally barred from practicing medicine ever again.

Hell, some people are going to law school simply because “Lawyer” is a job title that gets you respect. Meanwhile the job market for recent law school grads is so oversaturated that many of them end up working as underpaid paralegals or admin assistants. The credentials mean shit if you don’t know how to use them properly.
