Optimistic about the appeals? Yeah. 2 out of 3 judges being exceptionnal is quite unlikely (and I obviously think every cause of action is worth a proper trial before any judgement).
Unhappy about Ty? No, not really. I just hope he will stop giving the defendant counsels so much latitude for their games and will start being more agressive.
Mad at Nick? Why would I be mad at Nick?

I wholly blame Chupp. While Ty did do some fuckups, they were relatively minor and shouldn't have really affected the case, especially against the main defendants (Funimation and their soymunchers especially).

Chupp acted way outside of procedure from the word "go", was clearly having massive issues from the beginning in figuring out what law even meant, and seemed to be biased in general even if it not's explicit.

I don't know if he's just mentally unfit for the pressure of a Judge, too lazy to bother with the basics, has some mild liberal/#believeallwamyn programming, or simply just a dumbass.

Mind you I'm just an exceptional individual who likes looking into law, but I see no reason why this wouldn't be easily appealed, and to get Chupp shoved off far away from this case if Ty plays his cards right, which he bloody well should considering the absolute mess the Judge has made of the court.

I am mainly reading him as lazy. I also think he came into the case with a slight bias, thinking Vic actually had done something. Therein lies the reason he didn't look into the case at all. Or bother to really put any effort into it.
You sort of see it in the odd move he did later on when he decided to send them to mediation to resolve it. It was an 'o'shit I done fucked up' move, and he's probably too proud to admit and revise his own mistakes. So now it has to go to appeals. I do wonder how long it will take before the higher-ups revoke his judge license, cause he has quite a lot of these oopsies I heard.

Eyhh! A total lie? Not surprised at all. It is a slight possibility as Nontransferable said they are two different people due to being two different acccounts. It is also possible the mod did something to the first account and they had to make a new to post that apology. The language in the two posts are similar I believe. Either way, it is probably not Manjaw, she is far more aggressive and always triples down on anything she says or does, and will spent hours bickering about it. More likely it is someone a little more laid back, and equally as delusional, like ArmzGurl or something. We will never know.

Like many have said: waiting for an announcement regarding appeals. Not really mad at anyone. There was sloppy work by Ty, but the judge's ruling was just lazy. The defense was also pretty exceptional. So ... eh.

Digging through Sabat, currently - that dude has potential to be entertaining. Especially given the shit that he's been doing with Stephanie Nadolney - should be interesting.

Regarding defenses council, no one expected them to be psychopaths. Giving a little latitude might be reciprocated by normal, mentally healthy individuals. And it makes you look good because you are trying to be amiable and keep things moving.

But they are assholes so being more aggressive and precise is the only way forward.
