Unless they were fondled by Bill Clinton.
Because none of the poor fools who get accused of this shit can fight back normally. And even if they do, there's always a chance they'll get an exceptional judge. #metooing is easy as fuck, and there's always the 1% chance you can get a Cosby or Weinstein, and if some sped decides to murder their accusers in desperation like Beard predicted, it can be spun into propaganda about incels that makes society even more tedious to live in.
Ethics in jourmalism 2019, there you have it Ladies and Gentlemen.
And don't even start to think that news outlets like The Dallas Fishwrapper are any different.
It's more likely to be real than fake. Consider MBA for example, he goes dfe and makes accounts, or has alts he can use on the fly whenever he powers up the nigger-meter. Fujoshits do the exact same thing, because they're unable to handle negative internet points affecting their profile. These aren't regular people we're talking about, and applying common logic to their actions isn't the best thing to do.Yeah, I don't believe this. The phrasing isn't that of someone penitent for being stupid, this hits every single bingo square for what people would say about this instead. I think the original person deleted when they got caught, and another person jumped on the opportunity to pose as them. Otherwise they would have posted this before deleting, or have posted this apology on their main account.
This is fake, but oh well. The accusation was fake, too.
It's certainly a complex situation. But remember that there are a lot of people at Funimation who are neutral on this shit and just trying to make a living -- they probably aren't very happy with Sagat the fagat and his casting couch crew. There are even pro-Vic people who are leaking information to Nick and Ty, too.
Rooster Teeth at this point will sell their kidneys, their firstborn, their soul and everything just to keep a show alive that the writers themselves have fucked into the dirt beyond repair and redemption. Some musings on the future of RWBY, RT, and corporate overlords.
rwby is 100% salvageable without a complete retcon/reboot. all the writers have to do IS ACCEPT SOME FUCKING CRITICISM. instead miles blocks criticism and cast members deflect with "its a cartoon".Rooster Teeth at this point will sell their kidneys, their firstborn, their soul and everything just to keep a show alive that the writers themselves have fucked into the dirt beyond repair and redemption.
IMO, I think this is Nick's way of saying that there MIGHT NOT be a round 2. Not saying that round 1 is done (assuming Vic appeals), but it'll probably drain the resources that could've gone to suing Don Sabat instead. Nick promised to yank the skeletons out of Sabat's closet, and he's gotta do it somehow.During Nick's stream last night, he mentioned he is making a short video about how to be an "anime mafia don" which will feature screenshots and that we can "noodle over what that means" while giving, what is in my opinion, a sly look.
It's at 10:25. Speculations?

I could be overthinking it, and he could just be laying out the foundations for round 2, but that was the first thing that came to mind.
I thought a while back Ty said they felt they had enough to go after Iago. But obviously they’re waiting until after around 1 is out of the way. Correct me if I’m wrong, all the streams start to blur together for me and hell I’m not going to look through them all to try to find it.On one of Nick's streams, Ty was hopeful that discovery would give him what he needed to firm up his case against the targets for round 2. They got next to nothing in discovery and round 1 was dismissed, so trying again, with even less evidence, isn't going to happen. It would have to be after a successful appeal.
It was one of the later Ty streams where he said additional information had been found that gave them a solid case on Iago.I thought a while back Ty said they felt they had enough to go after Iago. I vehemently disagree on the first part since starting to salvage it now is a bit way too late. Way too much has been fucked up, way too much potential has been wasted and way too many opportunities have been missed. When your show reaches a point where the overwhelming majority of fanworks (as in fanfiction, abridged series, fan art, fan webcomics etc.) and (non-canon) spin-offs are, without me being hyperbolic, in every aspect objectively superior to the canon, you might as well either unironically Kurt Cobain yourself, or nuke everything and start all over again.rwby is 100% salvageable without a complete retcon/reboot. all the writers have to do IS ACCEPT SOME FUCKING CRITICISM. instead miles blocks criticism and cast members deflect with "its a cartoon".
The problem is the kind of guy who just up and murders a bunch of people probably also did the other shit he was accused of. The kind of guy who gets falsely accused is going to be some actually nice guy (not Nice Guy) who wouldn't ever just go shoot people.
Remember the original puff piece on West Nile? Also the Dallas Morning Fake News. They have a working relationship.
If anything, the poster being so full of shit actually made Daymond look better. Helps that nobody outside of a few spergs believed those rumors--now, if Monica and Jamie had tried to shove their fat asses in again, that might've been a different story. No worries dude, the crap went south fast because quite a few were calling her out and the liar who made up the story nuked their account on reddit. This gayop ended in a matter of a day. Nothing to see here, for now at least.
I completely agree with this. At this point everything good about RWBY has either been retconned into oblivion multiple times, been ruined by Miles and Kerry's incompetent writing, or completely dropped. Not to mention the completely meandering plot that makes it feel like every season after Volume 2 is completely separate and only connected by hopes and prayers. Then you have all the nonsensical lore Miles keeps trying to push that only serves to muddle the story even more than it already is. The show is so far beyond salvageable at this point it's not even funny. The only way you can salvage it without a full reboot is to do one of those in universe reboots where you just erase years of the story because of how bad it is, but that's really not ideal. I mean maybe you could have salvaged things after the mess that was Volume 3 (though you'd have to spend years just trying to fix all the problems it created) but once you hit Volume 4 things pretty much hit the point of no return. At this point they have literally years of bad writing that has killed the popularity of the show and you just can't save it at this point. It really says something that I've seen fanfic writers actually talk about giving up on trying to be canon compliant with their fics given that every season will retcon everything that came before and made it genuinely frustrating. They settle on writing AUs simply because canon is such a mess.I vehemently disagree on the first part since starting to salvage it now is a bit way too late. But either way, salvaging RWBY now, or doing a hard reset would require the writing to be handled not by Miles, but by actual grownups who know what they're doing.

Yeah Ty said a while back that they had plenty to pass prima facie for Iago, and I believe later he said he had enough to make a case against Iago.I thought a while back Ty said they felt they had enough to go after Iago. I get what you're saying, but let's not speculate just yet. This week has been largely uneventful mainly because Vic spent the bulk of this week on a film project, plus Columbus Day weekend is coming up. My gut feeling is that we'll find out sometime next Tuesday onward, but if I'm a betting man, I would bet Vic will pursue appealing. Again, it's Vic's decision, so I can't 100% guarantee it, but I just can't see him not appealing.IMO, I think this is Nick's way of saying that there MIGHT NOT be a round 2. I mean, I could be wrong, since I'm basing it off of Nick's comment on releasing everything if things went south for Vic. I hope I'm wrong, because from my perspective, that would require EVERYTHING, including appeals, to go wrong, and I don't think the situation is THAT dire yet.
