apparently peer-reviewing doesn't mean shit when it comes to half-assed research from degenerates.
when all the peers doing the reviewing are weirdo degenerates themselves, you get what you would expect

Wasn't there a post a while ago where someone's "celebrity cheat" was a D-list YouTube music celebrity and got upset that their boyfriend was upset when she actually slept with him after a public concert?
that sounds hilarious, you got a link to the story?

This white trash poly relationship went as well as one would expect. :story:

OKLAHOMA CITY - A fight between two women in the middle of the highway allegedly started with a disagreement over laundry, toilet paper and dishes, and ended with both women in lockup.

A man by the name Tim Yost was caught up in the middle of it and he sat down with News 4 to share what happened.

“She jumped on her like a spider monkey,” Tim Yost said. “And then she just beat the snot out of her.”

Tim Yost tells News 4 he’s legally married to Richelle Yost, but the two had an open relationship with another woman, Amanda Breeze.

Yost says things were going well for a few months until Breeze wanted to get something off her chest.

“She said she didn`t want to be the other woman,” Yost said.

So, Yost says he left Richelle and their three kids to go live with Breeze.

But the honeymoon ended when it came time to buying the groceries and doing chores.

A police report says, “Yost and Breeze got in an argument over toilet paper, laundry and dishes.”

Yost said he had enough and that he wanted to “move out.”

So he packed his bags, hopped on his Harley and called Richelle to come drive the van, but the two didn’t get very far before Breeze was on their tail.

“She is pissed,” Yost said.

Breeze allegedly hit the back of Tim’s bike on purpose and sent him flying across the pavement.

Horrified drivers called 911.

“I didn't run him over,” Breeze said.

“Yes you did b****,” a 911 caller said. “I watched you!”

Then, Richelle allegedly turned the tables on Breeze.

Richelle hit Breeze’s car before the two got out and went hand-to-hand on the highway.

“She gets her hair pinned down and then just does blows to Amanda’s face and rocks her world,” Yost said.

Both women were off to jail facing charges.

Tim was rushed to the hospital and is still on the road to recovery.

"It's like some Jerry Springer s***,” Yost said.

Both Breeze and Yost bonded out of jail. However, Yost is back in jail as the investigation continues.

X

Maybe they're counting couples who keep a celebrity cheat list, but even then most of those couples never get the chance, and were kidding around anyway.
Lol it's totally meaningless.
"As many as 1 in 5 adults practise some type of consensual nonmonogamy such as polyamory; many are married, have children, or both."

Adults. Not "families" or "couples" or anything. So this includes single people who sleep around with no expectations, estranged spouses, and divorced parents.

11 self-selected women and 13 partners make for an *~excellent~* sample to study an extremely non-uniform demographic!

It gets better. The entire thing from top to bottom is so exceptional it makes you wonder what other garbage is being published in these journals that (used to) have a reputation for you know, actual science.

Here's some more:

Methods
Study design and population
We conducted a qualitative descriptive study using semistructured interviews to identify common themes stemming from polyamorous families’ experiences with pregnancy and birth.8,9 We undertook this study from a constructivist perspective (i.e., there is no single truth; rather, truth is relative and constructed by the researchers, individuals and society). Motivation for the study stemmed from some team members’ personal involvement in the polyamorous community and a shared interest in promoting inclusive reproductive care; however, all team members participated equally in study design, implementation and analysis.

We included participants if they self-identified as polyamorous during their pregnancy, had given birth within the last 5 years and had received some prenatal care from a health care provider. We also invited partners of the birthing individual to participate in the study. We recruited a convenience sample through announcement of the study on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Snowballing occurred through online sharing and posting to targeted polyamorous Facebook groups from major cities across Canada.

Literally indicating from the get go that:
A) truth doesn't matter because we all interpret the truth differently
B) they're only doing this because they're sexual degenerates to begin with so it's just a giant jerkoff and asspat-fest
C) they actually just grabbed the approximately two dozen degenerates by asking them via social media (convenience sampling) if they felt discriminated against in the medical system - and wow, can you imagine the results??

Holy fuck. This is one of the more depressing accounts I’ve seen on r/polyamory.

TL,DR Hubs doesn’t respect OP’s boundaries and keeps breaking their rules (bangs his bossman’s sister and sexes up his latest partner before getting a full STD panel), acts violent towards OP and scares off her paramours.

And unfortunately, children are involved

So Dan has shown a proclivity for cheating, physical violence and has a short fuse, and she thinks its a-okay to have two small kids around him? And she gets bent out of shape when Nate is rightfully concerned for his and his wife's safety?

I will never understand the overwhelming selfishness of these people.

Agreed! I honestly don’t understand why people are willing to prioritize sex at the expense of their children, family, friends and careers.

I can’t confirm this, but I think I may have found “Dan’s” post with his side of the story. It’s even more exceptional than his wife’s

Why do they have to say shit like “sex without barriers”. Why can’t they just be honest and say they fucked without a condom?

The term "fluid bonding" is quite possibly one of the cringiest poly terms in existence. And they're dishonest because polyamory is nothing but a collection of pretty lies told to justify shitty behaviour.

Reading those posts, I see how complicated being poly is. So many rules in order to try and make this horrible idea actually feasible.

And I think there is approximately 0% chance that other poly couples with similar rules actually follow said rules. You only fuck someone if they just had an STD test? Get the fuck out of here. Regular STD test, yea okay, I can see this happening for some couples. But no way you're going to put your affair on hold so your partner can get tested. Who has time to go to the doctor that often?

Im guessing most are like this guy, where he asks the STD question and if the answer is anything short of "I have AIDS", its full steam ahead

Well, for men, the reason is obvious - they're thinking with their dicks.

For women, the reasons are much more varied - they're "exploring" or "open" about their sexuality. Or they don't conform to traditional gender roles. Eh, who am I kidding, that's the same thing as men.
