Why would it be weird if Phil said "we have friends over so ending early"? Nothing sensitive could be learned from such a revelation and it'd actually be a positive event in his empty life.
So either Kat decided this against Phil's wishes, or it's something else entirely.

What's interesting about that is - go look up the cost of a dental plan. Here's a site I just used.
If I picked the best of the best, it looks like I'd pay $200 per year for a dental savings plan that will save me 20% - 50% per procedure, than another $42.25/month for Delta Dental PPO.
Health insurance I get, it can be really expensive especially if you're healthy and take no maintenance medications.
But dental insurance is the one thing thats pretty damn cheap. Plus you can always use it - get your cleaning and xrays every year, catch small things before they become big.
I hate going to the dentist. Not because I'm afraid, but it's just a minimum of a couple hours out of my day. Going there, waiting, in the chair, waiting waiting, talk to dentist, leave. But as long as I've been going twice a year, if something new has popped up like a cavity, it'll get fixed right then and there.
If you let your teeth go to shit, it goes from 2 hours every 6 months to like 20 hours of work.
And if you're teeth are shit, it just makes you feel bad in general. I can't really explain it, but anyone who had jacked up teeth then had them fixed would know. It's like all that stuff going on in your mouth just makes your overall health and energy plummet.

Ok, he just ended the stream 5 minutes early because "they're here". That was odd..Kat (I assume) showed up at the door to signal to DSP he needed to come downstairs, with DSP saying that "apparently what's going down is going down early, which I didn't expect".

When Kat told Phil they're here he did a very awkward "bee noise" (I can't think of another way to describe it, I'm glad others noticed this too) """laugh""" and the look on his face was that of someone being forced to do something he really doesn't want to do. That along with his earlier complaining, it has to be he's meeting Kat's friends for the first time and the hermit is dreading the social interaction. Phil will probably sit there and goat laugh his way through it all, only providing 1-2 word answers when directly asked a question. I wonder if he actually changed out of that Sonic shirt or left it on as a passive aggressive way of showing his displeasure with the situation.
Still, I can't quite shake the feeling there is something bigger going on what with Kat taking 2 weeks off from work and in the middle of it there's this weird behind the scenes thing that Phil doesn't want to talk about in any detail. Wouldn't be the first time he's hidden something important to be revealed at a later date.

Even more amazing, he still found the time in the day to "work" and babysit his uploads. I still cannot believe he thinks people believe him when he claims he just sits there and watches these vids upload percent by percent.
