Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Damn, that's heartbreaking. Especially when you hear him talk and realize that there's actually an articulate, intelligent, sweet kid inside that ruined sack of flesh. It's bad enough being born deformed, but to be born normal and have your body destroyed by an unfortunate accident seems like such a devastatingly unfair and cruel fate.
I was surprised to hear that he got burned when he was only two, because I would have thought that someone as badly disfigured as this kid must have been injured recently and his body needed to heal for a year or two before the doctors can perform any plastic surgery.
Don't get me wrong, I would never expect someone so severely burned to ever look close to normal, but I cant believe that in all the years since his accident, the poor kid's apparence couldnt have been made a bit better than it is now. I mean couldnt the doctors at least have improved that gaping, raw, open-wound where his nose used to be?

He said he got burned when a candle fell and the flames spread to his blanket. Who in the hell leaves a candle burning near a toddler's bed?!
Anyway, he seems like a good kid and I feel a lot of sympathy for him. I hope he's able to maintain his positive attitude and can find happiness and fulfilment in life, despite his appearance.

Onto another subject, I'm sure a lot of people have been wondering what has become of Jaxon Buell in the years since his parents split up and went radio silent. His mother met a new fellow and they had a baby in August. The picture below was posted on October 5th. I dont know the baby's name, but since the shirt says "little sister", I would assume it's a girl. I also don't know if she has any medical conditions or not, but from this and the other photos that have been posted, she obviously doesn't have Jaxon's condition and appears to be normal and healthy.
As you can see from the picture, Jaxon, despite rumors of his demise, is still alive- or least as alive as a person with almost no cerebral cortex can be. Gotta love the way the hair has grown; it's heartwarming how his mother accepts him the way he is and isn't attempting to make him appear to have a normal sized head by styling that massive pile of hair on top of his flat little skull.

You know I'm not that much of a fan of either of his parents but at least I can give them some credit for leaving him at peace. They're not videoing him flailing through the house and laughing at him shitting himself. The fact they aren't showing him much is honestly the best thing compared to the Hartley's, at least they give him some sort of dignity.

That would stop the moment they realised their child needed a child-sized organ to save their life. The doubtless it would be about a law compelling parents to give up their kids' organs should another pReCiOUs child be in need.

Not the greatest thinkers, this bunch. Seem to have very little ability to think, or rather knee-jerk beyond the moment and burp out tHeRE sHoUlD bE a lAw!.

This discussion actually puts me in mind of that novel by about a girl who seeks to emancipate herself from her overbearing mother who essentially conceived her as an organ, blood and tissue donor for her older sister who has some form of cancer. The mother gives the girl no choice other than to be a tissue bank for the other one, eventually demanding she give up a kidney despite this putting her own health at risk, leading in the end to the children conspiring to get the younger girl emancipated so their mother cannot treat her like a bag of spare parts to savethe favoured older child anymore. I'm not sure, but I think it was based on an an actual case or two where kids where conceived solely for this purpose. So utterly fucked up.
If Jodi Picault's "My Sister's Keeper" was based on any IRL case it must have been that of David "Boy in the Bubble" Vetter. He was conceived and named after his brother who died asap but the Texan Docs were all about their own and the hospital's glory, so they pressured the Catholic parents to fuck and make the same genetic fail whilst convincing these All-American dumbtards that the polythene prison they'd come up with was a) just temporary y'all cos the lil ole cure was coming any day now and then b) when that turned out to be a crock, to have another kid to see if her sibling innards might help. Kid 3 duly was spawned and blessed as a life but - alas for David and the docs - the jezebel had got the Mendelian magicals all wrong so was no help after all. In the end, in desperation because he was getting too troublesome to torture, they took a chance and gave David a bone marrow transplant which killed him - although he got a week or so to experience human touch before he died riddled with lymphoma.

I have to be honest. I actually have to turn off my phone screen for a second to collect myself. Its not his fault at all but, he is horrifying looking... more horrifying than Sofia. I felt a lot of sympathy for the poor kid and he speaks so well and has a very positive attitude.

But, I am also puzzled on how on earth his parents thought it was wise to keep a candle near a toddler. Its like basic fire safety 101 to keep that shit away from children and flammables. Anyway, Malibu Ken did a fundraiser for the kid operation and it quickly exceeded the original goal in one night.

Fire safety isn’t as much of a thing in Latin and South America, particularly more rural and impoverished regions, where his mom appears to be from.

It’s also notable they said the bed burned fast - in the USA no bedding is sold that’s not fire protected, so if it does catch fire it’s a slow burn, not an instant conflagration. Everything, mattresses, sheets, even kids PJs are made with materials that tend to melt and singe rather than ignite. This was instituted in the 1950s since smokers kept burning up by falling asleep with lit cigarettes.

In places where electricity in a home isn’t a given you get a lot more of these types of accidents with candles. 150 years ago you just died by burning to death when it happened, but now via the miracle of modern medicine and years absolutely excruciating pain you can survive. But most places accosted to using open flames in a home know to keep them far from beds and kids. Many old flame lanterns had pointed bottoms so you would never absent minded sit them down in inappropriate places, it forced you to hang them up in proper places and out of reach of kids.

It makes me physically ill to think of how he must have suffered as a toddler.

At least he’s blind, and it happened when he was two, so the concept of being ugly is abstract to him for the most part. Losing his sight was a blessing in a sense since it freed him from the burden of seeing other people’s visual reactions to him or understanding its importance.

Maybe he can get a blind girlfriend like the guy in the movie Mask. (No idea if the real Rocky Dennison actually dated a blind girl)

The book was not based on an actual person. There have been cases of parents having a child in hopes of using stem cells to cure or help an older sibling.

Like this one. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pr...sa-ayala-now-23-will-graduate-from-csulb/amp/

But in every case what’s needed from the sibling is never organs but bone marrow or cord blood/stem cells. Bone marrow isn’t that big of a deal to harvest for use, cord blood is easy. In the above case things worked out perfectly, the new baby was a match and did save her sisters life. They both seem be well adjusted and incredibly close. They got a happy ending but the parents faced a mountain of criticism and controversy for the decision at the time.

Going by his name, I thought his family was from South Asia or the Middle East.
The mother and father speak Spanish, so they're almost definitely not from Asia or the Middle East. The closest thing to Spanish in Asia is Tagalog, the native language of the Philippines. Because the country was conquered and ruled by so many foreign invaders, including Spanish speaking ones, the language has evolved into a sort of Asian-Spanish hybrid. However, the parents were speaking actual Spanish, so they aren't filipino either. They're definitely from some Spanish speaking country, probably in the western hemisphere.

The kid though, speaks such excellent English that it's likely he and his family have been in the USA for a long time, so his parents really should have learned English by now. Unless they somehow sent him ahead to the USA to live with relatives when he was younger and they didnt arrive in the country until more recently. Then their lack of English language skills might be understandable, but if they've been here 10, 15 years or more, then there's absolutely no reason they shouldnt have picked up enough English to at the very least have a basic conversation without needing their son to interpret. The fact that they have a son with special medical needs makes it even worse that they haven't learned English in order to better communicate with his doctors and assure they are completely versed in his needs and treatments.

He said in the video that he does have a girlfriend, and considering he goes to a school for the blind it's most likely she's blind.
Also considering his mom is Hispanic I'm wondering if the fire started from a prayer candle next to his bed, I could honestly easily imagine that being the case.

(Here's an example)

Non-English speaking population of the US includes a lot of people who came here more than 20 years ago. If you don't get out of your cultural community, you might not even speak English to anybody for the most of your life. And again, for doctors' appointments hospitals are required to provide an interpreter, so even if it is not always possible to get full info and understanding (due to limitations of information transfer from one language to another in general), it is much better to provide language services than to wait for people to learn the language. Most people are also not aware of any affordable ESL courses or materials online, and if they are not socially active outside of their community, they will never learn anything besides a couple of words.

Holy fuck, my heart aches for that kid. I can't even begin to imagine his life. From an outside perspective, I'm honestly gobsmacked over how he manages to articulate so clearly - his bilabial enunciation is incredible. Damn. It'd be so cool if he worked with speech pathologists, I think it's admirable that he's interested in acting as an interpreter.

Last night Zaid, who is a burn survivor, shared his story publicly for the first time on SBSK. Our community raised over $160,000 for his medical expenses in only a few hours. I am humbled and filled with gratitude to be part of such a kind and generous community.

Sadly, Facebook has decided that this video was too "graphic". They have added a disclaimer before the video and stopped suggesting the video through their algorithm. This has the potential to be incredibly damaging to Zaid's self-esteem and our movement towards inclusion. This "graphic" image is his reality. He cannot change that. Instead of expecting the disability community to hide away, I ask that Facebook expands it's range of normalcy and creates a platform for everybody. We are all worthy of love, acceptance and inclusion."

The image is blurred and states : "This photo may show graphic or violent content. We covered this photo so you can decide if you want to see it. "

Some blind Schools are still residential if the student lives far away so this could be part of the reason his English is so good because he was in a residential setting the one issue would’ve been citizenship but he may have family in the US or he may have got in on medical grounds and his parents may have come to the US way later than he did because they didn’t need to be there for him to get a great education

I can understand their reasoning although I don't agree with it. Gore is gore. Like, victims that are still living breathing beings with their skulls smashed in on a hospital bed would get censored as well.

TBH, I think people are way too squeamish about that shit though. "oh I can't do gore", bitch pls, that's what is inside of you too. Are you saying that if you had an accident and had a broken bone jutting through your skin, you'd be understanding if people around you refused to help you to get medical assistance just because they feel nauseous looking at the wound? Like come on, I'm pretty sure the person with a gaping wound is in wayyyy more discomfort than you are because you had to LOOK at it.

It's like the strange Ken doll said...that's someone's everyday reality and it could just as easily be yours.

People who are physically disabled have the same right to use public facilities like businesses as anyone else. It's literally illegal to say, for instance, they're not allowed to go grocery shopping, and that's where you'd have to interact with them personally. There's absolutely no reason something like Facebook should have any more rights to discriminate against the disabled than any other business has. Anyone who doesn't want to look at it doesn't have to.

This is another child that was a burn victim. It's been a while since I first watched it but I remember the father said the mother felt so guilty by what happened that she left.

Yeah, it's around the nine-minute mark when they finally get to what caused the fire - the mother's cigarette. After a few weeks of hanging around the hospital she 'couldn't stand the trauma' - and left. She now refuses to have any contact with the child at all. Mother of the fucking year, right there. Not only stupid enough to be smoking around a two year-old in a time when it was long known to be horrible for children and babies, but manages to be careless enough with one to set fire to an entire flat with one and cause a major conflagration, then cops out of being a mother because the 'trauma' is too much for her to bear. What about the kid's trauma? Her dad seems amazing, thankfully.

Have all the ugly laws been revoked? I recall that some US states had laws against ugly people.

Thaddeus Pope has a short post on today’s court case. I’ll be watching his site for the court documents.

Yes, there is at least one transgender person in the group. I have seen their videos and posts.

I wonder if Bobby’s family will try to sue the hospital or the lawyer for wrongful death of their legally (and actually) dead son?

Geez, these people type like they're drunk. Guess that's why they call 'em wine moms. Admittedly, I'd be drinking too if I had a kid and this happened to him or her. Then again, I wouldn't turn my kid getting terminally ill into a media frenzy, because I'm not an insane person.

Their lawyer filed in the wrong court.
What a fucking boob. Do they intend to pay this guy? I wouldn't give them a cent if I was in their position.

Found it on youtube:
Jesus Christ, I thought this was fake at first. On the bright side, this kid's probably won every Halloween costume contest he's been to in his life. This is one of the rare times I feel someone really, truly doesn't belong on Kiwifarms, primarily because this kid isn't a tard baby or brain dead at all. It seems like he has all of his mental faculties, and he enunciates really well for someone who can't even move his jaw, damn. The story is that when he was a baby, a candle fell on his bed and the flammable blanket basically incinerated him. My heart still goes out the the parents, but who in god's name puts an unattended open flame near a baby? There's no excuse for that, I'm sorry. I don't care if it was a prayer candle or they had no electricity. It's fire and it's a baby.

They could totally fix this kid up if they got the money, though. Not long ago, the world's first successful full-face transplant was performed. We can argue about how ethical it is to perform that much cosmetic surgery on a kid that can't even see, but having his nasal cavity exposed is really dangerous and could make him more vulnerable to illnesses. I hope this isn't a scam, because I actually really want to donate some money to the family. However, I think it's really suspicious that Googling this story yields no reputable results (although that could just be because the kid's not American).

Apparently he has a girlfriend though, so there's that. Someone please tell the incels, it would be hilarious to see how they sperg in response.
