He was put on puberty blockers, which effectively prevented his body from producing the necessary hormones to mature and develop sexual characteristics. It's basically chemical castration; even when he had his penis it was still that of a boy's before it goes through puberty, and because of the blockers he still wouldn't have any sort of sexual feelings even if he still had it.

We're saying he's prepubescent because he was never allowed to go through puberty and therefore he never matured properly, either mentally or physically.

In a way though isnt that just what she is using her child to give herself fame. On most pageant shows the parents seemed to get a whole lot more out of it then the children. I've always been surprised there wasnt a thread on that here.

Just from looking at his face, he looks like a little boy with really long hair. His body went through some growth akin to aging but you can tell that it was stunted and left under-developed due to the blockers. On top that and the micro-penis, he's still very much mentally a kid with a kid's level of coping, reasoning, and entitlement. Lots of people, trans or not, suffer from heavy stress and anxiety but Jazz can't even face simple prodding to talk to a doctor without having a meltdown. It's not developmentally sound behavior akin to a growing adult, nor does Jazz express any real adult interests outside of petty indulgences such as food and shopping. Even then, he doesn't express adult interests in adult woman-related things such as wearing a bra, a specific future trade or occupation, or sex.

Maybe Jazz could have developed naturally if he'd been given time to choose as a consenting adult as to whether or not he believed himself to be trans. But a decade of being pumped with toxic puberty-blocking drugs has left him unfairly emotionally, physically, and mentally fucked up before he had the chance to truly decide who he wanted to be.

I'm not sure if pumping him full of E would improve his sex drive with the blockers in place. Even if he didn't get the surgery, his reproductive system would probably be fucked over if he's been on hormones long enough.

Estrogen isn't the only sex hormone women have. Both men and women produce estrogen AND testosterone in different amounts. The production of those hormones spikes during puberty - a natural process Jazz never went through.

No. Think of it this way. We don't treat diabetes by giving people the same fixed amount of insulin everyday, right? There's been decades of research saying "OK this is what healthy blood sugar looks like for your age and weight and height. Aim for that." We don't have anything like that for sex hormones. There's no "How to make a little boy a little girl" class in med school.

You are both missing basic information about puberty and how it works. I'm not sure how to fill in the blanks for both of you, but male genitalia requires testosterone to develop, estrogen atrophies male genitalia. If you atrophy a person's dick and testicles with estrogen before they go through puberty they are castrated and sterile. In turn, testosterone atrophies the uterus, vagina, and ovaries. The only thing cross sex hormones really alter are secondary sexual characteristics like body hair and breast growth, which are more cosmetic than functional in a trans person.

That's the thing though. Intersex people are intersex and have their own issues. They aren't otherwise-healthy people so we can't apply the same rules. Same for women with ovarian issues. They're still women.
Hell, even then it's iffy. A few years back it was still common to prescribe estrogen to menopausal women. Turns out that was a bad idea.

All puberty does is cause the changes that take you from a girl's body to a woman's body or a boy's body to a man's body. And, no they don't have a lot of research on this because it is unethical to play around with puberty on kids. There have been some cases of precocious puberty that has been delayed using medication, but nobody is studying exactly what amounts of hormones you would need to give a boy to mimic a girl's puberty and vice versa. The amounts of hormones given to a woman to balance things out are not going to be the same as what a man would need to feminize because the natural state of men's and women's hormone levels are very different.
