Connor, you remind me of a personal lolcow I used to milk years ago. He switched between moods, political views, self esteem at pure random. Most of the time me and my friends didn't know how to treat him. He was racist, stupid, sexist, and violent. Still, I think he is better than you. Why? Quite simple: he listened every time he fucked up things and wanted to learn things and improve shit. And he has a job.

Tl; dr: sucks to be you, boy.

Surely, you're joking. When I friended her briefly on Facebook, she constantly messaged me while I was busy with homework. There were literally pages of messages. I shit you not.
All right, I'll bite. Give us some context.
  • Did her messages say anything of substance? Please give examples.
  • Did she know you were working at the time?
  • Did you bother replying when you were done with your homework?
  • Could you maybe sign out of Facebook while you work?
I ask because right now, your story sounds kind of whiny.

Ohhh I finally figured out what Connor's big fucking problem with The Breakfast Club is. See, as he describes, the "cold, selfish, borderline-sociopathic" Ms. Johnson... demands that her son use his time in study hall to productively study in a "brief exchange". That's it. A parent telling their high school aged fuck up "Okay since you have to be at school on a Saturday maybe stop being such a slacker asshole and do your fucking job, which is being a student" is abuse. Also he ignores this advice he has given multiple times in the past month. Ha ha ha you're such a exceptional individual Connor.
To play devil's advocate, Brian was really being emotionally abused by his parents, and they seemed to not care about his suicidal tendencies. There's a difference between encouragement and just being callous.

There are still portions that need filling. I'll do an internship at the library when it warms up.

There's some websites on this very interwebs that will give you resume advice and stuff for free. A resume isn't that time intensive, it should take you maybe three hours if you decide to be really detailed.

Are you sure you're not projecting your own misguided beliefs onto characters from a shallow 80's movie that hasn't aged well over thirty years?

Or, hell, you could maybe ask somebody for help. There should be advisers on your campus, right? My school had an entire class devoted to resume writing and networking. I'm sure you can find a career adviser if you looked.

When a guy's pressured to make straight A's without any leeway for mistakes and is given zero appreciation or respect for it, you'd probably be a little down too.
