Just FYI: most of the websites that "show removed comments from reddit threads" are using the API to grab data off reddit directly. Newer browsers are not finding this behaviour kosher. You might fiddle with settings to get it going. In Firefox it's the shield icon on the left side of address box.

Nah, stick to Firefox, you can tweak those settings per page. In reality it's there to protect you from tracking. It's just that those site use similar mechanism of data exchange.

Well yeah, I normally use Firefox, and I have it quite locked down, but if I need something that's more compatible, I use Chromium. I started doing that after the Firefox plugins disaster.

I have no idea how the myth of the perfectly-passing trans woman came from. There are some trans men who can pass decently, but even better-passing trans women stick out like a sore thumb in real life, when you aren't viewing them from the perfect angle and have real women around them for reference.

I think it's possible for people to pass, it mostly comes down to genetics though, which is something no one wants to hear. A lot of guys fail instantly at the chin, jawline, or adam's apple. Funnily enough, Asian men definitely have the best racial feature set to pull it off, but transwomen seem to be overwhelmingly white.

Back when I first heard about this story I googled it a bit and found out that main tranny in this story was also kicked out of some other leftie organization due to inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment but only after his antics went on for so long that the trans teflon wore off and the leaders couldn't ignore it any longer. I'd see Blaire White, Nikita Dragun, and that one trans model that was hired by Victoria Secret(I think) as the better passing transwomen and it's still possible to tell them from cis women. I think even normies would be able to tell something is off about them but prob won't say anything out of respect for them.

The main thing I really want to know is, are there coworkers who knew pre-Linda? Or did she start working there as a woman. Because if like half the people there used to work with say, Steve, this would be even funnier.

I think there are some trans people who can pass "well enough," but no one can pass perfectly. A friend once showed me Blair White's videos and I assumed she was cis, because trans people were less "mainstream" back then and she had the basic identifying features of the woman. I thought her face looked a little off, and her voice sounded weird, kind of like a gay man's. When I learned she was a man everything clicked. Better passing trans people can slip by normies, but if you've seen a few before they become very easy to identify.
And of course, passing is a lot harder when you see a person in real life vs. on a computer. Online people curate thier photos so you only see them alone at the most flattering angles and lighting. In real life you can see that even a better passing trans person like Laverne Cox dwarfs other women and has massive shoulders.
