A good few articles I've read describe Alig as a "Self Admitted Pedo" so I'm pretty sure they have reasons for that. I'm still digging, hopeful to find something concrete.

At this point, I can only hope Desmond has a massive breakdown in public and either self-harms or harms others.
That way, his "caretakers" would be legally mandated to hand him over to a mental institution. There, he'd at least have a real chance to recover his independence and dignity.

I prattle on about this a lot, but I feel there's a trend at work in the realm of woke that involves sacrificing something of lasting value for short lived energy or relevance in the now. It's almost an 'equivalent exchange' kind of trade.

I have female friends who enjoy watching drag tv shows. They think it's just acting up and they think children who do this are very innocent about it. To be fair, in some cases, it might be. Many mothers whose children just want to dress up as RuPaul probably think it's just their little boys playing pretend in the same way they want to be clowns or whatever. They don't know how sexual it can be. So, in some cases, not everybody does it because it's "woke", but because they think it's not a big deal.
