Somewhere in there was also the whole "FUCK YOU WEEBS WHO WANT A JRPG FOR PATRON'S CHOICE" saga. That led to a drop-off too. Probably hasn't helped that since he's on Twitch, the $20 "perk" of getting a question answered can now be gotten for free. The $50 perk is also mostly useless since you can ask whatever questions you would ask there on stream as well. The only "perk" level that might mean something is the $5 one, since you might perhaps get the privilege of voting on something. Unless Phil "executive decisions" it or your choice doesn't make the list.

Well hold up a second. Are you conflating a laugh with the iconic DSPGoatLaughDSP?
Because the goat laugh isn't a laugh. It might sometimes be done at times that would normally be occupied with a laugh, but don't let that fool you. It's just become a literal filler noise and a complete crutch because Phil has become so warped, isolated, and castrated by Twitch, that he cannot think of anything to say, does not want to risk saying something, but knows he should be saying something.

He can identify when something should be funny, or sad, or annoying, but he has no idea what to say and doesn't want to invest the effort into communicating, so we get this actually developmentally challenged-sounding 'goat laugh'. He's devolving into gutterals. But the important thing is that his atrophied body produced a noise, not unlike a corpse releasing one last, wet fart... so it's transformative content. Intellectual commentary, even. It's interpretive commentary. The goat laugh at the waterfall? That's 'awe'.

And of course, there is the transcendent "Zzzhuhuhnnnt" sound made when Kat came to tell him "they're here". Passion? Poetry.

Jesus Christ. . he even has terrible taste in low-brow comedies. Jon Hamm's cameo in that film is worth the price of admission, but the dress shop scene is gross-out humor at it's finest.

. . .what a miserable cunt he is. My guess it's all the ladies that make him uncomfortable.

Enemy variety is fixed with DLC, barring that, one should skip NG+ and go directly to NG+2 as that adds unique enemies with a variety of different buffs that turn them into elite variants of the standard versions with different resistances, speeds, and on hit effects. The alpha and beta feel like Nioh 1 DLC difficulty which is deadly, but alleviated with a few levels and knowing the combos.

Not to go on about Nioh, but it surprised me that he had a much easier time with Sekiro than Nioh; probably because Sekiro just requires timing while Nioh requires you to build for the weapons you want to use as well, and we all know Phil doesn't have time to remember what stats do what DOOD! :stress:

But we got that excellent LWO Guardian Ape video showcasing his magical ability to suddenly change tactics after taking a break and looking up a guide on YouTube.

Lol he just said troll tips "don't count" towards the total and is therefore concealing how much he's really making. I don't keep up as much as I used to, has he said this before? He also said that they don't count because they're from people who will probably charge them back. (Which he has said before, despite him also claiming that he never loses those.)

Jesus christ, these lies are MASSIVELY STRONG.

Well, at this point, if you "troll tip", you are even more stupid than before. He's going to largely ignore them at this point while hoping to keep the money.

Watching moonmoon tonight, and he's talking about his family shit. His mom has ALS and is literally dying in hospice care, but she is being moved about 2 hours from where his dad lives to receive the proper care. His dad told him today that he (the dad) has a growth on his liver, and they'll find out next week if it's cancer or not....for the 2nd time. If it is, treatment options are limited because he's in his 60s and has had multiple surgeries previously. What is moonmoon doing? Figuring out how he can get his dad to quit his job so that he (moon) will be able to financially support his parents and allow them to spend as much time together as possible.

Meanwhile, Phil is bitching because he didn't get as much in tips as he thinks he should for one day and acts like his parents' age is equivalent to them dying in the near future. Perspective's a real bitch.

Edit: Oh, and this was mentioned to 1) get some emotional support from chat and 2) give a heads-up that he would not be streaming for a little while next month so he could go visit his parents. Nothing about money or anything else.

That's funny because right now his $10 Patreon Membership level is titled 'Get Even MORE Recognition!' and the only reward for that tier is literally 'a VERBAL thank-you shout-out during. . .(Ask the King. Hate LIVE! and possibly more) AS WELL AS once a month live on stream!' and that's it, sooo. . .
I wonder why alotta peepul aren't pledging to his Patreon? It's not like you could get such amazing perks, like possibly one or even two shout-outs a month LIVE! on his stream for $10, in some other way :|

And that's why he won't automate anything; he has to be in full control.

I knew he did the top cheer and top tip manually because he didn't want troll names up there, but I thought he could at least automate total tips and subs. Now we know tip totals are fake.

Soon, subs to "troll accounts" won't count towards sub goals.

He totally (believes that he) works a full day!

We may very well be witnessing the progenitorial event that marks the beginning of his even more rapid demise.
First it will be "Troll" tips. Then it will be $1 tips. Then anything under $5 won't count. And so on and so forth.

Which means troll tips will stop. Which means a decent portion of his income dries up.

And because it is Dave and he's NEVER wrong, instead of connecting the dots "no acknowledgement of troll tips" = "less money overall", he'll start ignoring the smaller donations. Eventually most of his income will come from the paypigs, and we know they never stick around for too long. And this task will be too great for even them.
