Joe needs traffic to his website as Game Freak has basically deprived him of any news for the game. He's making a desperate plea to his Pokemon masters, he's even basically shut down his own forums. That poor diluted fuck, GF isn't going to help you now. They are gonna hide and wait for this shit to blow over. I seriously doubt it death threats, I would bet that a lot of preorders have been cancelled since the leaks, especially in Japan. Though people are rightly upset that GF tried to pull a fast one by not releasing a lot of relevant information in a bid to make sales without people knowing about all the lacking features. It's just shitty of them to do, I would feel this way about any game. Has nothing to do with this whole Pokemon fanatic shit.

I used to be subbed to far too many Poketuber spergs, and it was clear that every single one of them were going to shill the absolute hell out of SWSH no matter what because they based their entire livelihood on a singular game franchise and couldn't afford to say anything bad about them. So shortly after the fated day at E3 I did a little purging of my own and deleted them from my feed. I understand the almighty dollar, but fuck the lack of integrity for the franchise you bootlickers seem to care so much for.

Unless there is a secret kiddy diddling ring going on in Serebii I would rather have Joe represent the fandom than the Bulbagarden crowd. Not just because of the rumors but because most of staff don’t seem to care about Pokemon anymore and are just there to power trip the forums. BMGF is a diet version of resetera with a Pokemon skin with the insane amount of rules and censorship. Serebii is still a huge lolcow though and watching him dig himself deeper is hilarious.

The GTS helped me out so much, but it needs to be fixed. There's no point in looking because there are hardly any fair trades. They should have a function that filters out the people who want legendaries.

Seconding this, Joe also has to deal with GF/Nintendo breathing down his neck in regards past troubles involving reporting leaks and using a pirated copy of Black/White to report on the games.

Unfortunately, there is a hard fact that not all fans agree with every decision, but anyway, fans love Pokémon game software and what titles will they bring to the world every time? I think that there are many people who are excited just to imagine what new Pokemon and characters can meet. Certainly there are a lot of opposition voices, and I think there are times when it is difficult, but remember that the voice is not the opinion of all fans. Finally, the Pokemon series is still attractive for children around the world. And there are many children who are looking forward to the release of the Pokemon sword shield and many fans who have grown up.

Oh fuck off Joe. I understand that you're the webmaster for the biggest Pokemon fansite (arguably) but nobody, especially you, shouldn't be celebrating Game Freak's outright laziness. Get off your pretentious high horse.

Every big Nintendo franchise has done something big and notable for their flagship entries on the Switch. Zelda, Mario, Smash, Fire Emblem, even Luigi's Mansion. It's not a fucking crime to expect more from the developers of one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world, and to hold the producer, director, and the team of developers of those games to scrutiny for their shitty design choices.

When they announced Pokemon Home, they explicitly said that trading is a part of it. Which makes sense when you can't load every Pokemon into every game anymore. SwSh should have a GTS like service, but I haven't used it since Gen 5 and even that was for injecting hackmons.

This more-or-less can go in the Pokemon thread in Community Watch, but Serebii's drama outside of Joe being Joe was always more about power-hungry staff echelons (one tried to delete the Miscellaneous subforum when he had enough) and rogue members abusing the broken forum system. The closest Serebii got to a secret pedo forum is a Pokephilia thread going on for upwards of 100 pages before a mod shut it down. Bulbagarden refugees typically fled to Serebii or Pokebeach when they couldn't handle the crazy staff any longer.

Joe doesn't really care about the forums anyway, and being the cheapskate that he is upgraded it to the oldest edition of XenForo from vBulletin. He's so out of touch that he couldn't replenish the member count with an upgrade in a vain attempt to regain the numbers SPPf got when HeartGold/SoulSilver was announced.

Wonder Trade was used by a lot of players to get rid of breeding rejects/extras and I doubt Surprise Trade will be any different,

You also got hacked mon that can contaminate entire boxes with bricking glitches if you used any of the mon from that box. Fun shit.

The one good thing that came out of Wondertrade was a project peopls did on Christmas for X and Y. Players would breed up really good Pokemon like starters and egg moves and Wondertrade them off Christmas day for new players that got the game as gifts.
