Probably just moved as they were off topic.

But I still don’t get Phils need to have these long ass pre-streams. All they do is just turn what I am to assume are new viewers who show up at random.
Prestreams are penciled in to run for an hour or longer for YT video purposes. He has stated that his streams 'start at 10:15* and he starts playing the game around 11:30'. He needs an hour or longer prestream in order to claim he uploads over 6 hours of footage to YT everyday.

* I can count on one hand and still have fingers leftover for the amount of days the stream has started at 10:15. He is habitually 5-20+mins late to start his muzac playlist or even type a word in the chat. The guy has only to walk a few yards from his bedroom to 'his office', but is incapable of showing up to 'his job' on time. He was super hyped for his Day One Death Stranding stream, but not excited enough to start on time. The stream being Offline until 10:22.

Thinking about it how is this going to work? Haven't played Pokémon in many generations, but there was a guy who'd change your Pokémon's name, but until you find that guy the only time you could change the name is when you catch them. Is it different in newer gens?

In Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee you can change a Pokemon's nickname directly from the menu at any time you want as often as you want as long as it isn't a traded monster. Not exactly sure how SnS is handling it but I imagine it'll be much the same.

I went through his last 90 days of streams, or 147 streams not including 2-3 where his stream died in the middle. He averaged 6 minutes late.

On time or early stats:
  • He was on time to 24 (16%)
  • He was 5 minutes early to 4
  • He was 15 minutes early to 2
  • He was 30 minutes early to 1
The longest he went without being late was 2 streams which happened 3 times.

He had two special event streams where he was extremely early. Once he was almost an hour early, the other time he was almost half an hour early.

Late stats:
  • He was late to 122 (83%)
  • He was 5 minutes late to 80
  • He was 10 minutes late to 24
  • He was 15 minutes late to 12
The longest he went without being on time was 17 streams.

He had three streams where he was extremely late. Once he was almost an hour late, twice he was over an hour late. I couldn't find a cause.

Not excited enough to start playing it at midnight on release like literally a thousand other streamers, either. Nope, that's prime lay around time.

Phil wouldn't adjust his schedule to save his own life.

Considering the guy can barely stay awake during CoD at 8pm I highly doubt he'd manage a Pokemon game at midnight.

Whats funnier is he just ragequit Olympics for being a baby game, yet Pokemon is notorious (starting around B/W) or having huge chunks of basically nothing but reading whatever childrens plot they whipped up this time.

Remember too that he's gonna expect even more donations than usual for Pokemon since he'll undoubtedly be "voice acting" the whole game.

Phil routinely complains that he has no time for anything because of the schedule he made for himself. Is there any reason why Phil still does the night stream? According to him, it means he misses out on spending time with Kat because by the time he's done streaming and babysitting uploads to YouTube she's already in bed. Not that it matters since the two hermits have nothing in common and probably don't say more than 10 words to each other throughout the day anyway. There's also the fact that a lot of the time the late night stream doesn't do well ("very slow night... SIGH"), which leaves him in a pissbaby mood and that means it's time to hit the gin bottle. He's usually up until 2 or 3 in the morning sitting on the cuck couch downstairs, drinking gin and watching some boomer show, and it leads to him getting a very poor night of sleep. This leads to Phil unironically believing that getting up earlier than 10 in the morning is impossible for him to do, so he misses out on more quality time with Kat because his fat ass is passed out while she's off to work in the morning, he doesn't eat breakfast, he doesn't shower and enters the first stream in a bad mood/tired for those reasons.

The solution would be to get rid of the night stream entirely and just have one long stream, right? He could spend time with Kat, upload to YouTube earlier, watch his shows earlier, go to sleep earlier, feel better in the morning and even have time to shower so he doesn't look like a fucking bum. Wrong! There's nothing he can do! I swear, this idiot goes out of his way to make his life as miserable as possible (which he deserves) just to have things to whine about.

Why does Phil even "babysit his uploads" ? Like, 10 years ago, maybe that was a genuine thing since I would imagine internet connections and uploads weren't as reliable - which might even explain the slices of 10 minutes if his internet was likely to cut on longer uploads and they couldn't resume if they failed at any point. But I don't believe his internet has any sort of problem now, and that Youtube uploads would be able to resist short internet cuts in 2019 ?

To make it seem like he has more work to do than he does.

I think you're correct on all of that, but Phil seems to think that the night stream is a different audience and has alluded to this several times recently. He played a day stream of Minecraft so that people who can't make it to the night streams could see it, and he could presumably wow them with his chill gameplay and they, too, will throw money at him like the evening wheelchairs. He's also insulted the viewers who come for the main stream/mainstream games during the day, and implied his night crew were the real, die-hard, supportive fans that are there for him and not the games.

I have no idea if any of this is actually accurate or if it's all in Phil's head, but I think it is why the night stream persists. I'd be interested to see if day or night streams yield more money on average.

There is the additional problem of Phil wanting to segregate regular gaming streams from 'chill' gaming streams. He seems to think he needs a break to delineate between the two 'styles'. And we know with his autism, he absolutely cannot, under any but the rarest of circumstances, switch games during a stream.

You’re assuming he actually does this.

The night stream is primarily for eurofags if I'm not mistaken, particularly certain britbong whales on the dole who donate regularly.

Misses out on spending time with kat who also works during his night stream but is sometimes off but is playing Skyrim/holding jasper hostage. Lol. But yea if he really wanted to he could probably just do one long stream with 2 breaks and just switch games after the second break. I’m thinking he probably just schedules it this way so he can get some extra shekels from whoever gets off work or w/e
