Expectations imply that people care; almost no one even cares that this film is coming out. That's sheer apathy; and we're getting to a possible bomb scenario, since I actually think even Solo had more buzz than this dead film walking.

Literally like a splinter in the brain; I ditched channels like MechaRandom42 or whatever her name is when she began doing "oh woe is me I'm being attacked by big business", and am doing that with Nerdrotic and OverlordDVD because I don't want to see full grown people literally do a begging dance every fucking day; you shitboots had actual jobs and decided to gamble it for short term earnings fucking live with it.

It's kind of like how you'll never know if all the edits to Rogue One did more damage than it prevented; you just have to live with it. However apparently the original cut's ending was so fucking bad the audience collectively rioted. No seriously, a score of 4 in test audiences is catastrophically awful.

Knowing the Rat, I'll remain suspicious because of how often they lie to try and avoid facing bad news. Plus this does sound a lot like what Dark Fate and to a lesser degree Genysis did in falsely claiming the creator was back in some role. Plus this is also after Iger did reveal he did Lucas dirty and how George hated what he did to his works.

Even if the fabled 88 cut exists, it may be a fake score cooked by suits desperate to cover their asses. There's an excellent article in AH about the advertising bubble, but fake metrics aren't limited to advertising. Every too big to fail corporation is like that.

Is it just me or is there not even much Astroturfing around this movie? Barely any marketing, almost no shilling, the toys already on sale before the movie even hit the screens...
If all this is true, this isn't Disney in Damage Control Mode, it's Disney full on abondoning this movie to cut their losses.

Would speak volumes about what kind of quality we can expect.

If it even exists.

Frankly, Doomcock's test audience video seems a bit off. In terms of rumors, I don't put much faith in it.

I am taking the news of a "lucas cut" with a MASSIVE grain of salt, as I am reports of the audience scores.
The "secret skywalker" shit smacks of...desperation? I can't see how audiences would respond positively to that.
(But then again, Lucas knows his melodrama, and since its just an edit, it wouldn't have any Lucasian dialogue.....)

I don't even know if its Disney abandoning the movie so much as it could be Iger is hanging Kennedy out to dry.

Counter point, ANH underwent massive edits with multiple editors; reshoots were less of a thing back in the day.
Of course the immediate counter-counter point is all those edits were enacting a singular vision of a man who knew what he wanted to deliver (but as we would learn with the PT, didn't always know how to deliver it), verses the current process which is veering drunkenly all over the road space lanes.

I don't mind Clownfish's sub-begging as much because they are at least upfront about why they want you to sub/comment, and its kept to bare minimum.

What I hate is when Youtubers act like they actually give a shit about your sub/comment beyond increasing their adsense metrics. OR when they have a 30 second "call to action" on every video.

Watched that this morning. After the talk a few pages back about how much IX will gross, if the 300m RESHOOT estimate is accurate, IX could legitimately pull a Solo or worse.. They have to have already dropped at least that amount, and probably more in original production.

I don't believe there is a Lucas cut, and that this information must be taken with at least a grain of salt. Remember: this is supposed to be secret, so having Lucas's involvement be leaked feels off in some way, shape or form. The lack of detail on the other audience scores and comp from Doomcock also makes me think his source didn't have this information reliably recorded (if Doomcock isn't just blowing smoke out his ass), so there's a probably margin for error. I'm also wondering whether or not the audience was stacked the second or third time.

By the way, I called all of this shit last December. Look at my fucking prediction, and realize how close I was to getting the real thing right.

So I think he had confirmation on the first showing and not the subsidiary ones [based on how he said it, and based on things I talked to acquaintances in common]

Lucas is a MASSIVE disney shareholder. And his ability to putter around and do the stuff he is passionate about is tied to Disney earnings. If this takes a big dump George will lose money
