I love when Woke Bitches try to look trans-friendly and end up showing how transphobic they really are. If Doror tuly were a trans dude, seeing her dressed as girlishly as in the end (and NOT COINCIDENTALLY resembling both her late mom AND Hyakkimaru's first girlfriend Mio) would be a collective slap to the face of trans people, since it means being trans is "just a phase" and something you can "get over" easily. It's the same "logic" that "woke fans" used in regards to Hungary from Hetalia (who also didn't know she was a boy AND also grew to be rather girly), and it's just as transphobic as it was back then.

SJW's are some of the most bigoted, -phobic/-ist people EVER, news at 11.

Everyone said she is trans even though it's been explained that her parents raised her as a boy because in Japan's Sengoku period (when Dororo takes place) people forced lots of women and young girls into prostitution and Dororo's parents wanted to avoid that.
In short because she acted like a boy and said she is one (even though in the end she came to terms with her own gender and looked more feminine), everyone on tumblr lost their minds and said " uwu he's a trans baby uwu" and you were a transphobe if you thought differently.

For some reason I've been noticing a trend where she and other current year artists like to paint themselves in the least flattering light, "not like the other girls", if you will.

There's nothing wrong drawing yourself / your persona as "ugly", it could be a way of becoming more comfortable with your appearance. When you start saying how smelly or gross you are though...then yeah theres a problem lol. Smelling like shit or not brushing your teeth isn't something you should be proud of.

Yeah the woke comic reboot. The writer left because her bosses said “no more lesbians, you already have plenty of lesbians, point of Jem isn’t lesbians”. Seriously so many lesbians and of course race swaps and body positivity.

Art isn’t awful but there are issues. Especially if taken covers in consideration there has been quite a lot of different artists, few definite duds, most fine and some even great. Still the art looks often oddly unpleasant. I think it’s mostly the coloring but also their interpretations of 80’s fashion. While not the easiest to pull off well, silly but oh so glamour 80’s fashion can such a blast, but it doesn’t work well dumpy bodies and other “realistic” details this comic goes for.

While I have kinda looked the art punch, it has been bad in interesting ways, I can’t comment on the writing that much. I tried the comic few years back but I was so bored by the second or third issue that I haven’t read more. I went in open minded. The consept art looked pretty SJW but at time I was still pretty cool with that and good writing can overcome bad art easily. I was sure I would get something out of it, eather to see an interesting and/or serious take on silly kid show or laugh how dumb the comic was. Unfortunately it was just boring and bad. It was so slow and nothing happened but still there was no time for explanations.

First issue was like Jerrica mess up a great opportunity because stage fright but she wants be a music performer and now there is a computer lady. The performance anxiety sounds interesting but how it was presented in the comic just made Jerrica look like an asshole and made little sense.
