Oh my God, for reals? I actually had to get up to walk around for a few minutes to collect my thoughts, this baffled me so much. This is sheer laziness. I take it 3D modeling is still "new territory" for the sprite-makers, but how did no one look at this and go "That looks like shit"? This is what fucking amateurs do, and it's usually the first mistake that gets corrected real fast once you get the hang of 3D modeling. Taking away vertices will change the polygon, but adding to what's already absolute doesn't immediately conform the polygons into another shape, and is a waste of data. This is just to fool not just the system but also the higher-ups/newbies who don't know what they're looking for but will let it pass as long as it looks "smooth" when rendered in HD.
Is this a carryover of the 3DS model or from Let's Go?
