What I love most about this whole narrative of "I'd be successful if not for the trolls" is that it begs one major question: Why do you have trolls Phil?

It's almost as if there is something Phil does that attracts trolls.

He managed to avoid that massive hole in the analysis. That's the danger zone.
Your list is great, and it's also worth noting that not only was Phil bad at games, he blamed developers for his incompetence. That's part of the reason MGS inflated the detractor numbers. He was also an admitted 'troll' during his FGC days, so he started his online gaming career on a sour note.

But importantly, this clashes with Phil's favourite line.... that some people disliked him for legitimate reasons, but that he has since changed.
Not only during this rant does Phil underscore that there was apparently never a reason to dislike him, given that the trolls just materialized and ruined what would have been successful without them, Phil also notes that, in fact, he didn't actually want or need to change... at all. He should have been able to do what he was doing and have this kind of popularity... so all of these "positive changes" were as the result of trolls, people whining, and Phil being forced to adapt to survive the trolling apparently.

High quality Phil rant. Emphasizes not only his seething jealousy, but also his complete lack of introspection, refusal to change, and exposes the lie that he actually believes he made mistakes and has grown. Phil believes Phil shouldn't have had to do shit, it's all YOUR fault.

Lets be real If he never started making less money on YouTube he would still be recording gameplay with a camera pointed at the TV. He should be thankful his fans (who mostly turned into detractors eventually) pushing him into making changes.

For as much money DSP makes for doing as little as possible if he upped the effort even just even 10% he could be making a fair bit more but I guess I would be lazy too if I got 100k thrown at me for talking to special needs kids for 3 hours a day and playing games poorly for ~5 more.

Why do people dislike Phil? Let's start by looking at Why people dislike his detractors.

Some people hate Tevin because he eats and drinks and vapes into the microphone. Tevin heard this complaint enough times to the point where he either does not eat during his stream or if he does he hits the mute button. You do not hear any of these noises in "modern era" Tevin streams.

That is one example of a streamer fixing their own problem. Phil does fix his problems. My volume is too low? Turn up your speakers. If there is a problem it is anyone and everyone's fault except Phil.

Mario and Sonic Olympics was a bad game? Must be everyone else's fault. No you rêtard. A 37 year old man should be smart enough to know a game called Mario and Sonic Olympics is a piece of shit. If I am looking at games and see something named "pendulum" it makes me wonder what it could be. Is it about time? Is it a shooter, a horror game, an adventure game? If I see "Mario and Sonic Olympics" I don't have to wonder. You've read the title, there is nothing else left to the game.

Man I just caught that Minecraft rant about the other guy that Khet watches. It’s so fucking sad how much this dude has convinced himself the negativity that follows him was just coincidental. He literally said people just attached themselves to him lol, how he can’t understand his years of being an asshole and beggar have something to do with it is beyond me.

I watched that clip and honestly just felt pity for the guy, I can’t imagine having that misplaced of an ego, but it’s gotta be a bitch to live with. Just endlessly fucking yourself over and not being able to put the giant toddler puzzle pieces into place to realize it’s yourself that causes it all

He also assumes people that are successful now were influenced by him even though I doubt anyone has ever cited this dude as inspiration with anything to show.
