Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

I never really listened to the calls between Chris and Alec when they were released, but good lord the amount of times Chris tried to weasel his way out of those calls. I thought him masquerading as his mother was pathetic enough, but randomly pressing buttons on the phone in attempt to drown Alec out and end the call is just downright childish.

Coke zero

Is it just me or is this series becoming harder to watch the more reliant it becomes on endless phone recordings? The narrative gets badly lost and they could do with heavy excerpting.
It‘s called “A Comprehensive History.” I’ve seen documentaries that call themselves “in depth documents of his life“ and they just go over the basics of the calls. Also, if I’m being honest, the Alec calls are hilarious because as Chris is trying to come out looking like a mature man, he ends up looking more immature than before. Lol

The phone convos are pretty boring IMO. I kind of got bored when he covered the Liquid and Kacey sagas, since they got rather boring and drawn out. I mean I use to like the Kacey Saga mess, now I find it really banal.

I will this give video a watch soon and insert my input.

The thing with the calls is that, while they might be boring as hell to sit through, they show Chris exactly as he is. If Genosamuel summed them up, people might think he's exaggerating or being subjective when it comes to the craziest parts and reactions. We may find them unnecessary because we already know Chris and his trolls, but someone who's just discovering him through these episodes needs to hear the lunacy as it was.

If I recall correctly, Genosamuel said the calls end either in this episode or the next.

Take it from someone that never really listened to them when they came out, I wasn't ready to invest hours of my time to listen in on conversations that may or may not lead to Chris trying to weasel his way out of them. I either just read the summations on the CWCki page for them or skimmed through them to reach parts I was interested in listening to. The only call I ever listened to in full was the Father Call, only for just how legendary it was, and I didn't really need to hear it again afterwards.

While this may not be a popular opinion, but I enjoy listening to the calls. You get the full experience of what it's like trying to communicate with Chris in real time rather than through emails/texting/im'ing. You get to hear him squirm and stress sigh throughout the whole thing. It gives you the full picture of what it's like to deal with Chris.

The calls also allow you to observe first hand the thought process that he goes through when he comes up with his bullshit. You can see the smoke as the greaseless gears attempt to turn. Hearing them is a better experience than just reading a transcript.

Exactly! Chris pretending to be his mom and when he is just pressing buttons to try to make it sound like he was disconnected are pure gold and something i forgot.

Phone calls were boring. But his analysis of the comic, the execution of the Asperpedia Four and interactions with the Wallflower were super interesting.
Last line was gold too and it resumes everything Chris does so far: In an attempt to prove himself to be the good guy, Chris became the villain.

I like the documentary. It's unbiased and it shows things as they are. It would be really hard to talk about things like Chris's "Roger Rabbit theory" without sounding biased, or sounding like he's exaggerating. The phone calls are abridged and shows you exactly what happened, but Geno breaks them up and edits them in a way where it doesn't feel like it drags on.

I can't wait to see more documentaries from Geno. His one about the PMRC was amazing. He goes in depth and presents things in an unbiased manner.

The timing between Chris showing the Magic Man his online PS3 account and Surfshack Tito’s hacking has to be more than a coincidence.

MM could have easily logged Chris off and asked Chris what his password was. And naive Chris would likely share it thinking he was bonding with a friend. Then MM could have hacked the account later, or tell the password to somebody else so they could hack.

I wouldn’t have even notice this interesting potential connection had it not been for this series and how it covers every minute detail chronologically. Even if it’s not true, it’s a fun theory.

The phone calls are getting annoying, but I believe things will pick up soon.

As someone who has never listened to the calls, I don't mind them. They're funny at times. The Kacey calls didn't need as much time as they got because she was annoying. The ones presented now are mostly seeing how Chris can not respond to criticism well or handle being called on his bullshit. Chris will sigh then runaway.

In XXV Alec made a really great point that when Chris fails to do anything more than shit himself and do nothing, it causes even greater problems for himself later on. When Chris said he does lots of things (when defending how his comic is taking forever) which mostly were chores, Alec called bullshit because the house was a disgusting pit. Around that same time Chris released a video of himself sticking his dick in the snow for 10 minutes. Geno is just putting the facts out there as they happened and you still feel like he's saying "look at this lazy piece of crazy shit"

Oh yeah, Socky is pulling his version of the curse ye ha me ha on Gibi, which Gibi finds fucking hilarious. Lotta mileage out of this. Gibi just posts all the crap Sock throws at him and then Sock shits his pants... much like Chris' way of telling the internet everything worst about himself and then getting assblasted when people respond. It must be the autistic way.

That closing speech. Chris tells everyone to go outside and he doesn't even know where outside is :story:

I don't know much about what happened to him between Asperchu and the house fire. There's the tomboy fuckery in there somewhere but is there anything else before that?
