I wasn't complaining about pronoun agreement with subject, my complaint is about extra words, which are peppered into the french in a very unnatural way.

It's sort of like trying to write "valley girl speak" and instead of adding "like" into sentences conversationally, you decided WE YOU to add random other non-words BETWEEN WILL GO that made you sound more, like, a UNDER YOU space alien.

This is yet another arc where a new character with some flavour of troonery shows up and Stephie exposits until Labelle gets bored and the story just stops. The character will never appear again and, like almost every other character, has no traits beyond “is trans.” The yellow contacts are an attempt to make the character seem cool and interesting without putting the work in.

Kind of like people who wear them in real life, actually.

This isn't any more ridiculous than allowing self-ID for sex. I've got a great idea for the next SJW movement: illegal immigrants can just self-ID as American. We're obviously living in a post objective reality world now. You are whatever you declare yourself to be. So, why not just apply it in every sphere?

After all, who are you going to trust -- a troon or your lying eyes?

I've got a friend from my high school days whose husband wears contacts like these. They are into horror stuff and do horror special effects make up stuff for fun and go to horror conventions and stuff like that. He's the only one I've ever actually seen do this in real life. And he's an old dude, so that makes it even weirder.

A death would be a great new angle for the strip. There are plenty of surplus characters who no one would miss and it would give a new urgency to Stephie’s whining about transphobia.
