ANTIFA / Antifascist Action / Antifaschistische Aktion - The anti-fascist gang with fascist tendencies

You're way better off learning boxing or muay thai for self defense in a street situation
Yeah, boxing is your best bet as far as utility gained vs time spent training, if you just want to learn to handle yourself in a fight.
Wrestling is a great skill to have defensively, you want to know how to keep someone off you, or to get out from under someone.

Best self defense is cardio. Can't hit you if they can't catch you.

Why would an openly gay Asian dude be collaborating with Atomwaffen? Even if he wanted to send them info, why would they accept his help? Even if he was sending information anonymously, the moment Antifa started sperging over it, wouldn't some Siege sperg do some looking into?

Just because he opposes Antifa, it does not make him a meth-smoking Siege Nazi. For fuck's sake, Andy Ngo is not white, he's openly gay, and he's a moderate conservative who's to the left of Ben Shapiro.

He's peeing in his own bathtub. It looks like they were standing in the tub while they did it. Ew. This stunt wouldn't be worth the effort of having to scrub the tub. That's assuming this person actually cleans their tub or that they even bathe.

funny how these people make the evil alt-right nazi russian bots seem more and more diverse
see this black man? ALT RIGHT
see this mexican? NAZI
see this lower class white woman? RUSSIAN BOT
see this gay person? EVIL
see this guy living in a third world country? HORRIBLE

luckily you can be diverse with us straight upperclass white women who only want BBC

These fucking scum know that. They just had to make up a lie to justify violently attacking a gay Asian. They don't care whether it's true or even makes sense.

Eh, boxing is only good in the sense that it teaches you how to

A. Take a punch without being a bitch
B. Throw a punch without being a bitch
C. Learn how long your arm actually is when it comes to fighting
D. Do something in a fight other than end up in a shitty grapple

I'd put wrestling a lot higher than "defensive". I've always been told never go to ground unless you know exactly what you're doing, and while being punched hurts, nothing hits quite like the ground when your fat ass just got flipped by a 5 foot 4 Irish manlet and now he's going full on fucking spidermonkey.

also, yeah. Even if you don't end up running from a fight, being able to do 5 consequetive jumping jacks is probably beneficial to your career.

The only reason Andy Ngo got any attention (including from mainstream conservative media) is probably because he's gay and Asian. Straight white men were injured more severely at that specific rally and they were completely ignored.
Andy also had the advantage of being well connected. He is the editor of Quillette, which has positioned itself as the website of the "Intellectual Dark Web" and is friends with Eric Weinstein, the Evergreen professor that got shouted down years ago. While the IDW is small, its mostly made up of university professors and middlebrow non-fiction writers that chart on the NYT best sellers lists, so it has a lot of pull.

The only issue with wrestling is that in a street fight, you want to avoid the ground. On the ground is when his buddy hits you in the head with a rock or a bottle

Pretty much this. If there's one thing that's constant about antifags is that they firmly go by the ethos of "show us the man and we'll show you his crime"; any reason they can think of as justification of beating someone up for that fleeting adrenaline high, they'll make it out of thin air. At least football hooligans have the honesty to just stick to "didn't like your face" or "cause we were bored and thought it'd be all in good fun" as a reason to jump someone

Sometimes when it comes to these people, don't blame blind fanaticism for what can be explained by the desire to act out on mindless, consequence free hooliganism

Makes sense...Quillette is basically a glorified craigslist rants-and-raves page for cancelled liberal academics to complain about their former colleagues and wax poetic about their "ideological awakenings" ( = moving their libtard dial a few notches in the classical, instead of progressive, direction) so it's nonthreatening enough to get him in the door.

Though with Weinstein and the IDW siding against the alt-right in the groyper war (imagine explaining that sentence to someone 10 years ago), Andy's days may be numbered when the next MSM condemnation of "nazis" comes along.

Actual pankration, not the stuff for competition, doesn't leave you on the ground long. A lot of it is not isn't competition legal because you can kill your opponent even if you don't want to.

You can do incredible amounts of damage lifting someone 3 inches and slamming them down, and you aren't as defenseless as you'd think.

And along that general theme, just look at Ngo. This guy isn't a badass. It is someone a dozen antifa shitbags can actually beat up. Notice they don't pick some guy who looks like a refrigerator and could singlehandedly take out 50 of them by just wandering into a mob of them throwing wild haymakers.

A common opening move for pankration is a straight up kick right into the enemy's guts or groin, driving the heel forward. It's not ALL about wrestling.

I dont think Alaa joined capoeira to learn self defense. he must have fell in love with the artform during one of axe capoeira's demo's they often do at dundas square, he is often spotted at cultural events. that club also teaches krav maga and brazilain jiu jitsu.

I agree muai thai and boxing would be better for street fighting
