Estimates are that roughly 0.6% of the US adult population identifies as trans. That's about 1.3 million. The Rememberance Day post says 31 of them were killed in the USA last year. Multiply the ratios out, and that means the US trans community had a homicide rate of 2.38 per 100,000.

The USA average homicide rate for everyone is about 5.3 per 1000,000. Nearly double that of the "most vulnerable" trans subset.

The trans community is literally twice as safe from being murdered than their fellow citizens.

(I'm a little skeptical about the trans identifying numbers, and whether their homicide classifications match what the FBI data uses, but whatever. It's not worth debunking since their own numbers make the angst look silly.)

Resetera's thread states that 31 trannies have been murdered in the USA in 2018.

According to FBI stats, there were 15,498 murders in 2018, population estimate 312,099,511.
According to the Williams Institute , 0.58% of the population is trans as of 2016. That means tranny population estimate 1,810,177 for 2018.

So the general murder rate is 4.97 per 100,000.
While the tranny murder rate is 1.71 per 100,000.

The murder rate for cis people is nearly 3x higher. When will we begin to address the scourge that is transprivilege?!

Even post-NeoGAF exodus, if you have a community which facilities sanctimonious users who thrive off of backstabbing each other, banning people for the smallest infraction, and a dictatorial group think, you're going to breed the kind of mindset where people cannot openly speak and do everything behind closed doors. Then, when everything is done in private little circles, you start to get collusion, conspiracy, and mutual backscratching.

This happening multiple times isn't a coincidence, it's something which is an inevitability given the structure of both ResetEra and NeoGAF. But because the users are also stupid, they think the problem is just a few bad apples when the entire tree is rotted from the ground up. They'll just ban a few users, consider it work done, maybe make a new forum to run to, and it will repeat once again.

It does, however, make for good entertainment.

Ah but as we all know 41% of those 1.3-1.8 million will suicide causing another 41% to suicide. So it's actually 10.2-14.2 per 100,000 of the survivors being murdered.

I love that the spark that started this fire was acephobia of all things. No could give less of a shit one way or another about asexuals or has ever thought about them without someone having to tell them about being asexual. Even that now dead gay black man's post about them wasn't condemning them or wishing ill on them just pointing out their struggles are not the same that gays had to face. That is the peak acephobia that the resetera crowd can point to, its not that asexuals aren't being recognized its that they aren't being celebrated and put on pedestals. Its funny because any other reasonable minority group would kill and have been killed to reach that position. Quiet acceptance is unpalatable to these people, no you must give them all special treatment and somehow keep everyone above everyone else at all times or else you are a bigot and noninclusive.

It will be fun to see the day when the inmates burn the asylum down to make their own only to fail to meet their own standards and burn it down again and again.

So not only does Mexico have twice as many tranny murders as the USA, with less than half the population, but Kyujii counted Mexico twice (in both the Central and South America category and in the North America category) to reach that 331 figure. So it's really 268.

On another note, why did Kotaku and Polygon refuse to cover the blatant bigotry going on at REEEEra? Guess the journalists have also been infiltrated by Nazis and the alt right. Thankfully, the rational users of resetera were able to boot the gay black moderator who is also equivalent to a cop.

I liked how they sorta started doing the non-binary thing (Kyuuji and many of the other shit-stirrers all have "non-binary" listed in their profiles now for gender and a bunch of other people have been "discovering" this publicly) and then just bum-rushed past it to acesexuals.
