My take is:

Onision is the type of person who uses dictionary definitions to discredit people. She was also confused by what should be classified as a cult. It seems like she's terrified of saying the wrong thing.

There's no way she doesn't know what blackmail is, but Onision is also an emotional blackmailer, which is slightly different from what most people's understanding of blackmailing is.

I think the most realistic result is Greg will go on some kind of watchlist (it isn't spying on Americans if they can't prove the lists exist) when they realise there's nothing legally severe enough to act on.

Lainey won't go to jail but might get some kind of criminal record or formal caution.

The wetlands has a small chance to be the straw that breaks his finances back, but really the long game here is his slow decline into irrelevance, poverty and further mental illness.

We have to remember that we largely see only what grug allows us to. As disgusting as that is, imagine what he keeps hidden. For example, as bad as his public forum was we have no way of knowing if there were "private" messages exchanged between onion and some of the underage girls and what may have been solicited. Also, there could have been exchanges of images between him and some of the grown men who were trolling his forum. And there has been talk of other girls we don't know about. I doubt that he wiped all of his hard drives over Billie and Sarah alone. What is publicly known "might" only be the tip of a much larger iceberg. If so, wiping the hard drives will not help him very much as there is history stored on servers that he has no access to. Also, my mind keeps going back to the laptop they sold Sarah (which may have been grugs before he gave it to Lainey). Most of the communication between Sarah and Lainey was over their phones and Sarah kept most of the receipts. So what was the purpose for the forensic search of the laptop? It sounds like they were looking for something more and might have found it. As disgusting as their treatment of Sarah was I doubt there is enough for the F.B.I. to get involved over it. "BUT", they are apparently getting involved over something. Will just have to wait and see but I think there is something deeper than we can see at this point.

If the FBI is looking at it, there's gotta something questionable, I'd figure. How bad remains to be seen. Yet, even that video The Blargh did showing Haylee and Regina telling the audience to back off suggests there's something happening we can't see yet. I'm guessing, with the way Hansen is alluding to it, there may have been certain pictures being passed Gergy and/or Klainey's way. Maybe a fan (or several dozen) wanted to give them a "special picture", just for them. As for Chris contacting the FBI, I don't think he'd call them up if he didn't have anything substantial. He has earned many awards for his journalism and his name still holds a fair amount of respect in many communities. I seriously doubt he'd lie to literally thousands of viewers and risk losing his career on someone like Onion. Especially after seeing how the girls' stories actually made him tear up. Thanks to them, he knows how dangerous Onion can actually be, especially to his underage fans.
