Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

Arguing about billing is exactly the purpose of the hearing. Likely she was told by someone that Vic would be humiliated by being interrogated on the stand, and that's all she's there for. Look at her original tweet. She says "Grab your popcorn, Vic is here for the first time" and included a photograph of him. Then when she whines in her recent tweet she says "It looks like they may not be able to question Vic before the end of the hearing"

Basically, she has one purpose and one purpose only in covering this hearing: she wants to spin any embarrassing question Lemoine gives Vic so she can publish it in her newspaper. This is Lemongasp's sad attempt at countering the way Nick made fun of Ron and Monica's depositions.

Okay, what did the defense hope to gain from grilling Vic on the stand? This isn't deposition. And Chupp might be Chupp, but I can't see him letting Lemwaaaaaaah ask anything that isn't relevant for the purpose of the hearing.
Otherwise, Vic has shown to do really well under pressure and I'm betting he was prepped by Ty and Co before the hearing.

I'd recommend waiting for some confirmation on this. If this turns out to be true however, I imagine the talk Lemonaids is going to have with MoRon, especially if they lose the appeals, is going to be an interesting one to say the least.

If it was one of ours they wouldn't have tagged spednought, they would've just shared here or tagged ISWV.

This is the only answer that JSL could have possibly given the Judge. If he gave anything else, then the billing numbers he gave were fraudulent under penalty of perjury. This is actually a good question by the Judge.

I said before that MoRon would be texting Lemoine questions again, but more likely since phones aren't allowed this time he has a bunch of leading questions he's going to ask Vic about Slatosch and whatever. He'll object nonresponsive to everything past 'yes' or 'no', hope to try to dig around for privileged information, and if Chupp stops him, his back up plan is to have Griftsby spin everything he says in the most humiliating or negative way possible for Vic.

Well Griftsby isn't happy and they're talking fees so I'm guessing Chupp's mood is somewhere between "wants to die due to lemoine's voice", "done with everything due to lemoine's bullshit" and "needs more coffee" with possible hints of "realizes these fucking normies are gonna keep him away from his beloved dubs for months at this rate."
Chupp is a sub-only purist. He's an 80s/early 90s weeb having nothing but visceral contempt for dub watching subhumans.

Okay but in the 80s we got the godawful Harmony Gold dubs of some anime here which would give anyone PTSD if they had to watch them.

So I imagine Chupp is thinking back to the HG dubs and crying himself to sleep.

I would think that Ty would relish having Vic answer questions in front of Chupp. As far as we know, this is the first time that Chupp has heard the plaintiff speak and Vic is sweet voiced, calm and confident in his manner. Who knows, perhaps there is something Vic can say that will bolster Slatosch's statement. I believe Nick hypothesized this very thing. What if Slatosch told Vic personally that he had to break the contract because MoRon threatened him? Not likely to happen, but I would laugh and laugh if Vic's testimony entered in some new revelations...

Vic looked very business-like in his sportcoat and shirt, but deep down inside, I am hoping that there was something gay about his pants. The thought comforts me.

"Ours" are the ones enjoying the bloody tardfight in the Colosseum, no matter who wins as long as there is Julay. Anyway, the point is that I don't give credence to random Twitter dipshits and I would wait for the transcript. But as said, if this turns out to be true it would be not just hilarious, but would also, especially if Vic wins the case, officially rename the Lemonführer into the Lemonrabbi. With the Talmudic tricks Lemoine attempted he is already between Israel and EA.

The key to understand Chupp, is to understand the obnoxious elitism of /a/.

Padded bills hearing and Greg's bankruptcy response is due today. It's financial shenanigans day!

Plus the billing shows they were dealing with Bankruptcy payments as well. Martinez rightly points out that has nothing to do with the case at all.

There's so much shady shit in there; never mind the attempts to cover up perjury by redacting parts.

Mostly because mecha is dead.

I assume Lemoine felt like he had to say that, and maybe he did or get utterly chupped up, but holy shit it makes him look like a total POS

He really did have to say that. He cannot submit a billing invoice to the court that is materially different from the one he would submit for payment from his clients. That's at the very least dishonest, at most, a fraud upon the court, and would further boost Vic's claim that the fees are nonsense.
