Full disclosure, I did not read the long tweet thread of explanation, so if this is exceptional response, then whatever. But from the original tweet, his "rimshot" was on the comment about Vic having botox. I'm neither offended nor amused by that, it's just a "huh, well that happened" kind of comment. But was anyone on the farms commenting or complaining about the botox joke? My understanding is the guy was being called a tard for all the creepy lead-in to the "joke".

It'd be like saying, I snuck into Monica's house and hid in the closet in her bathroom for a few hours until she came home to take a shower. I watched through a crack as she filled the tub with water and stripped down to take a bath. And when she got in the tub, all the water dumped out.
(because she's fat, get it?)

I mean, whether or not you find that joke funny, all that lead up is creepy as hell if I supposedly really actually did that.

I know fully well that discretion is the better part of valor, that's why I am ok with the silent people that are not tolerating it but are doing what they can within the shadows.

I am with you on that statement. If Chuck was serious, he should have had a backup plan that does or doesn't involve leaving FUNI.

If you’re talking about the more powerful voice actors who know better or voice actors who have continued to blatantly show their support against opposing evidence, then yeah I would agree with you.

But if you’re talking about Funimation voice actors who have either chosen to stay quiet, are being threatened or at worst like a Tweet, I’d have to disagree with you on that. For starters, some of them are married, have a house and are just trying to tow the line. If what Chuck Huber said was true, then these voice actors really don’t get paid much either. That’s not cowardice; that’s being realistic. It sucks, but that’s how it is.

Also, remember, what they post or like on Twitter may not be how they feel in real life. I actually spoke to someone who once used Twitter, and she said that “liking” a Tweet is not the same as endorsement or even liking it. They could be doing it out of habit. They may have done it to make a friend happy, even if they don’t like it. Or they were forced to do it.


He has definitely been quiet this past week. Last time I checked on Twitter, he has not posted a Tweet for days, which was probably the first smart thing he’s done in weeks.

Half-half about the job being on the line because speaking out could or couldn't lead to a better position in the future, I know some people there are powerless but support Vic nonetheless but I also know that twiddling your tumps and being an ointment fiend is not gonna do them any favors. It's a fact that VA's don't make that much money staying with FUNI but their credibility is getting worse and worse and that could be something that could put their job security at jeopardy. Even just being aware of how fucked up FUNI has become and disgusted with Weebstein is enough because at least the person in question got common sense.

It's a tough spot they are in, I agree with that, and as much as I want people to speak out about this, one should never try and play hero. They should have an impact, not commit career suicide,


One can only hope that Vic can set up his own studio in the future.

He has 1000 followers, so he seems to be relatively well known. He also seems to know Vic personally. His tweet indicates that.

First of all, I thought his tweet of support was nice to see.

What's even more interesting is that he seems to have a radio talk show and considers Vic a friend. Wouldn't it be great if he could make and air a special about Vic and the situation he's in right now?

@Svetlana tagging you because I thought Vic might want to see this. I know he doesn't use his twitter other than to post stuff. If nothing else I think Vic would be happy to see a supposed old friend support him.
