But that's contingent on Vic going 0/17 on appeals.

I guess she's back to spinning like a top once the afterglow of Vic's warm smile faded.

And it's not even right.

As of now, Vic owes $238,042.42. If he appeals and loses completely,
50,000 for Funimation
55,000 for MoRon
37,500 for Marchi.

This is $380,542.42. She's $10k off.
I'm liking the odds. Because more likely than not, TI is going through.

I'd personally like to see defamation go through, if I could only pick one.

Defamation is the meat and potatoes of the whole lawsuit, and the tort where all the torts stem from. Yes, TI-EC doesn't require an underlying tort, but there's no doubt "Vic will be under criminal investigation" is the defamation that helped TI-EC move along.

Ideally defamation should go through because that's where most of the money is, yes.
I really hope the CoA are less boomer-ly than Chupp. Chief CoA has a twitter account but it's completely inactive.

So monica and Jamie have to pay?
Fairly certain that even if appeals fail, MoRon will still barely be breaking even with how much they'd be paid. Either way (barring the decisions being reversed by appeals) Jamie is making back nearly all of her money she spent.

Boy is there is a stupid amount to unpack in that question.

1. And Ron.
2. MoRon certainly have to get billed, now that Lemon-fuhrer crossed his heart and pinky-promised the judge.
3. Possibly Funimation is covering MoRon's expenses.
4. Even if not 3, it's a little optimistic to assume they even have that money lying around. Smells like impending bankruptcy, if so.
5. If Vic ultimately wins, they're going to "have to pay" a whole lot more.

And MAN, I just realized how ironic this situation is. They could have deleted their petty tweets. They could have retracted. They could have apologized. They could have settled. There were a million other possible timelines here. But in order to ruin one man over hugs, jellybeans, and perhaps some rather sour grapes and impotent rage: They may have ruined themselves, their future business prospects, and even their current employer!

As much as I don't envy Vic these ridiculous circumstances, this is really shaping out to be the best possible timeline for shit-show aficionados.

A key differnce though is TI doesn't necessarily say the accusations are falsehoods. It's more likely that Defamation is more likely to convince people the accusations are false. TI is the easiest.

Right. And first and foremost Vic wants his reputation back, or as repaired as much as possible. Money's always been secondary to him.

This piece of shit must not have gotten paid for representing Nazi Andrew Anglin.
