There’s no outside force involved here that’s sabotaging him. There’s no evil genie who decided “fuck this guy in particular.” We’re long past the point of crazy coincidences fucking over a hapless victim, as everything Rich touches goes to shit and he ends up fucking up every personal or professional relationship he ever had. Everything going wrong with Lowtax’s life is because of Lowtax’s piss poor decision making. Nobody has done a better job of hurting Lowtax than Lowtax.
