This is gold. Vic's horrible behavior has been so rampant for DECADES that you never heard about him assaulting or raping people until just THIS YEAR? Whatever behavior you heard of wasn't worth looking into because I bet that "creepy" behavior wasn't anything near pedophilia or rape. So I'm not sure if this belongs here or in Jamie's thread more, but having been keeping track of the isekai that Jamie costars in, I can't help but notice there's a running joke that the protagonist rips hair out of Marchi's character's head for his various purposes (goddess hair = powerful synthesis material)

At one point he rips out 100+ hairs from her head while she's asleep and they play up the joke of him possibly taking advantage of her in her sleep - to which he denies saying he's not that kind of person "and you're not a lady".

So, you know. Jamie Marchi is actively playing in an anime where she lusts after a hot guy that doesn't even consider her a woman, that consistently yanks her hair so hard that he rips hairs out of her head, and then the show made a joke comparing that to sexual assault (and ultimately determining it's not). While currently in a lawsuit insisting that it's not defamation for her to call that sexual assault, getting funded by a rape victim fund, and pretending to be a victim. And doesn't seem to have any issue with the show making fun of her supposed horrible experience.

If Monica and Jamie were victims that were traumatized and were triggered by things that reminded them of said trauma, they would only be voicing in like 10% of the shows they voiced in... Maybe less. Them working on projects like this only proves they don't really give a shit about the movement they want to represent either.

Based on what he said at one of the hearings (either November 8 or 21), Lemonparty's entire strategy was to drag out the fees and sanctions in an attempt to make an appeal of the dismissal impossible. I believe the quote was something like "that's not true, they can still appeal the fees and sanctions."
Chupp, to his credit, wants to preserve Vic's right to appeal.
It doesn't surprise me that KV/Lawltwitter spergs are on the same page as the Mosquito Fuhrer.

The way I saw it was that Lemonhead was going to make an argument no matter what, so him dragging it out for that purpose is absolutely true. I also agree that it seemed like he was trying to make sure that there was no window too appeal. He wanted to make things impossible for Vic to appeal. If the notice wasn't filed when it was, he'd be arguing that it was too late and probably would have a better chance to make the appeals drop. The notice may have been considered early, but at least it could be used as a placeholder until the time was proper. It definitely seemed better to do it earlier rather than later. I agree that Chupp wants to preserve Vic's right. I highly doubt they are going to drop the appeals. I think it will definitely make it to the court of appeals.

Regardless ISWV got a pest problem and they don't wake up to it, then they are no different than KV.
