Does Chris have the ability to look at his peers that are now his age and compare his situation with theirs? Even if he did, he'd probably use the fact that he's got trolls as an excuse as to why he wasn't nearly as functional as they are.

He's gonna blame any perceived shortcomings on his trolls, the greene county conspiracy, discrimination against autistics/translesbiansoulclit-people or whatever else he can come up with.

And that is if he perceives any shortcomings at all.
Assume someone he knew during highschool was married to his girlfriend from back then, Chris would happily announce that he had more experience with girlfriends since he had half a dozen real/artificial ones or something.
In the same manner, a womanizer would be scolded for being a vain brute that doesn't appreciate (and thus deserve) a girls love.

If they have something unique, Chris tries to overshadow it with something of his own accord.
If they have less than him, he mocks them for it.
If they have more than him, he's gonna mock them for imaginary reasons he's gonna pull out of his ass cause whatever they own (that he doesn't) is attributed together with something bad in his cartoons. (ie: rich people being assholes)
And if everything else fails, he clings to the royal Weston heritage.

It's a bit like with Cole, who was supposed to be rich and well educated, where Chris basically twisted it so the 'rich' meant Cole was bigoted and shallow while he tried to trump Cole's doctorade with his Honor Roll.

Deep down, in some moments of self-awareness, he might understand that he's worse off than anyone who went out to make a life of their own, but unless something really dramatic happens, he's not gonna admit that.

Chris seems to think that if you are rich, that means that you are a bad person. He has insisted on this ever since the "Future Message". I wonder where his hatred of wealthy people comes from? From cartoons (which often feature wealthy villains), or is it something that Barb and/or Bob has instilled in him?

This is probably the more likely answer, as Chris takes TV way too seriously. If you will recall, he didn't learn that the Bible supposedly condemns homosexuality until he heard it in an episode of Family Guy of all things.

Chris even cites TV for how he learned about heaven and hell (emphasis mine):
CWC said:
And my mother, father, and what I've hear on television, all have informed me about heaven, hell[...]

Admitting to yourself, much less anybody else, that you are a lazy, self-entitled, bigoted, unappealing, overweight, ignorant, naïve, selfish, hypocritical, needy and generally unwholesome person is a big thing. Self-denial is a powerful tool and one I think Chris will employ until he expires.

he'd probably use the fact that he's got trolls as an excuse as to why he wasn't nearly as functional as they are.
If he even has enough self-awareness to recognize that his life ISN'T as functional as theirs. His belief that his life if fine just the way it is has kept him where he is for 33 years

Social networks weren't really a thing in 2000 when Chris graduated high school, and, to my knowledge, he was never that into Final Fantasy or that much of a weeaboo. Probably just a different sperg named Christian.

The OP confirms it wasn't Chris-Chan down in the comments. It seemed eerily similar, though maybe that's just because as soon as I think of a Sonic sperg, I get a mental picture of Chris.

I disagree with this part. Chris would have loved to have found a lifetime sweetheart early in the sweetheart search. He uses the fact that he has had sweethearts to prove he is capable of love and commitment, but I haven't seen him use them in a claim that wouldn't be enhanced if there was only one, long-lasting one.

In terms of the general theme of your message. I agree that Chris interprets everything that happens to his advantage. But he doesn't claim everything as successes. If they are failures, he often kind of acknowledges them as failures, shifts the blame from himself, and uses them to get pity.

Things that happen to or in the approximate vicinity of Chris get classified into two categories. One category for "successes" that he should be admired for. Another category for things that aren't his fault that he should be pitied for.

Well, I didn't mean to imply Chris spins everything into a success but when he has to compare himself to someone else he's willing to use his mental gymnastics in order to give himself an advantage...

But I'll have to say, you're still spot on, I didn't keepin mind how Chris is willing to use failures as a means to garner pity.

It only took me till recently to realize Officer Keino (Ivy's father in the comics) is an inverse of Ivy O'Neil.:stupid:

Except that it isn't. While I chalk up the vowel reversal to Chris's usual spelling issues, anyone have an idea as to the K?

More of a comment than anything, if only because it fills in a tiny bit of information and is later kind of funny: Chris' "Why PowerWeb STINKS on Ice" thing in Issue #2 of Sonichu's News Dash is "inspired" directly from a catchphrase of a character on the early 2000's Nickelodeon show Rocket Power. The same one the character Tito came from.

Heh, actually, that's a coincidence. We named Officer Keino after a friend of ours.
Did Christian ever respond to the lolcow award? (:_(
Not publicly.
He should have it revoked and awarded to Jace.
That's what Chris probably wanted.

So, i'd read the transcriptions ages ago and found them funny enough, but last night I finally listened to the audio of the Jack Thaddeus calls, and holy shit. They're probably some of my favorite bits of Chris content. There's just this completely different, manic energy to them. He's just unloading on Chris over and over in this more direct, cathartic way than any other troll calls i'm aware of.

It's like if Alec had finally lost his shit and just said all the stuff people think when they listen to their calls.

@Marvin I remember you were a big fan, if I remember right.

just a little nugget. it looks like chris was trying to edit wikipedia recently
