Bunch of dishonest bullshit. The line "we have a black president, racism is over" is even used on movies to make racist caricatures, which mean it shouldn't be taken as hard truth (movies like "Dear White People" which is pretty good, never watched the series).
Of course you can sequeeze in some folks that have that sentiment, as stupid as it may be, but not enough to turn a fucking election, as in, millions of people, and if that was the case, Obama wouldn't have been re-elected.
The thing that sunked the democrat's ship was that Obama was a ineffectual president, who was so much concerned about his own image and legacy that couldn't compromise neither make big decisions or risking looking bad, and ironically damaging his image and leaving such a unaccomplished goverment that his two big points, the Iran deal and Obama care, were easily reverted by Trump with little push back even from the democrats... I mean, they bellyached for the cameras but that was it.
I'm not a internet political pundit, but the notion that racism and bigotry can be done away by simple actions such as electing a president or giving repartations is so ludicrous, that it's even more ridiculus to think a vast amoung of people who believes it like that exists. And more than that, it's dishonest and a spit on the face of people who genuinely thought Obama would bring the change he proclaimed.
