They’re both just as bad as each other. Carrying some foolish utopian view of countries that are generally shitty place to work or grow up in.
Tiger moms are rife, suicide rates are through the roof with kids, conformity is expected and anybody who even dares go against the norms is ostracised.
Most importantly Asian girls don’t have a fetish for skinny white men, quite the opposite. They’re a curiosity at best and frightening at worst.

Suicide rates in both countries (especially South Korea) are high but the overwhelming majority of them are the elderly, especially men, same as in the USA. Mostly it's connected to unemployment and depression and the "lost decade" recession in Japan made the problem a lot worse when it was going on. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if the USA's suicide rate ends up overtaking Japan's in a few years given how it's been rising with the death of rural communities.

So here I found a video by this former weeb who apparently lived in Japan for 2 years but then left after realizing how hard it is to really live in Japan


This commentator definitely seems smarter than the average Weeb. But has a bit of asian fetish

Because Japan doesn't have a lot of racial diversity and isn't very immigrant-friendly. That's why.

Of course, now the population is growing older and older and there's fewer babies being born. So there's that.

Because Japan is mostly homogenous, actually bother to enforce an immigration policy, don't shame ethnic nationalism, and aren't complete shitholes like most other ethnostates. Only other countries I can think of that meet those criteria are South Korea and (((one other country))), since most homogenous and nationalistic states (like the Arab states which haven't imported much slave labor) are shitholes.

The /pol/ and right-wing idea that Japan is some conservative paradise is like how SJWs are always going on about how Sweden and other Scandinavian countries are a paradise and how we need to be more like them. It ignores that yes, there are Japanese SJWs and Pewdiepie and Notch aren't the only Scandinavian alt-right nazi incel shitlords, ignores shitty aspects about those societies, and ignores that there's particular reasons why those aspects of their society work and wouldn't work just copypasted to the US/[INSERT COUNTRY HERE].

There's also Iceland, although they have a fair number of Poles.
 
Watched a dude do IRL streams of Taiwan for a few months. Climate wise it's way prettier than most of Japan, while also being what, 1/3 the size? Other than people being hateful towards him for streaming, people were generally very open to his white devil skin. This is especially in contrast to JakenbakeLive who streams in Japan.

Taiwan is at least numba won compared to Japan, but let's be real; people like Japan for the anime, not the country.

So I mentioned Sankakaku complex's bizarre articles here awhile ago. Well, something mildly interesting happened there this morning. A bunch of people started spamming the comment sections, claiming Rift (the author of like 90% of the articles on there) raped an 8 year old and is bragging about it online. So they're raiding the site and allegedly reporting him to the "authorities".

I don't know if there is any weight to this, but it seems pretty exceptional and fascinating, plus it is really recent. I highly doubt that these self proclaimed SJWs will actually cash in their checks. They almost never do, but it would be interesting if there is a kernel of truth to it. Does anyone here have any insight into this? I'm legitimately curious now.

I've been really curious about this for a while now as well. As you mentioned right-wing anime spergs seem super hyper focused on the "racial purity" and nationalism of the Japanese. Left wing progressive anime spergs tend to focus mainly on the gender identities and sexual orientations of certain characters. While I enjoy anime I should be honest so, my best guess is that since most anime characters are shallow and devoid of much personality usually just relying on familiar tropes and character archetypes it makes it far easier for obsessive spergs to graft their other obsessions onto it. The same way they do it with MLP, or Sonic, Fnaf, Pokemon, etc. As I'm sure you're aware unnecessary political divides always show up in popular "geek" fandoms no matter how juvenile and devoid of any political subtext the property the fandom is based around is, be it Nazi furs or anarco commie bronies. Autism, autism never changes.

I'd love to see the evidence on this. The guy's obviously a lolicon and SanCom has tons of loli on it but that's a pretty big claim to present without posting any evidence. If he's bragging about it online, where's a screencap or archived link? I hope it isn't true though because this guy's articles are hilariously stupid, it's like a more honest version of OneAngryGamer that knows its garbage.
