Oh yay she has her own thread. I can't stand her I hope someone catches up with her and she loses the kids when they have a chance still.
Which doctor would report them? Greenfeld who butchers child after child convincing parents he's the end all be all for Chiari? MbP parents pay close attention to who manufactures diagnoses. I do know one family who went to specialists out of state with an insurance that needed referrals. Primary doc refused it so they changed docs. Parents also don't have to admit they've doctor shopped. There's no database to find out who is muching, just drug seeking, no one knows that the speialist is #5 unless she shares it with #6.
Chiari is absolutely something that can qualify for MAW I wonder if Greenfeld and the doc;tors she uses are black balled? It's like Mayo they find out these specialty docs are quacks and suddenly they aren't at Mayo anymore.
I knew once she started vague posting in September with breast cancer ribbons she was gearing up. What's more attention getting than breast cancer? Breast cancer battle all through out October Breast cancer awareness month.
She also posted in a chiari group that Aveana (spelling?) was 33 lbs when she clearly wasn't. I think the boys are going to be targeted next, I was happy when she was harping on her cancer lumps she wasn't focused on the kids.
Also FEES and urodynamics need sedation, I have a feeling the doctors are weighing options, sedating kids needs a real reason not mom is a muncher. You can't say my kid is peeing the bed because that's still not that abnormal in childhood. They can diagnose neurogenic bladder without urodynamics too.

I don't yet think this is as bad as the Schofield case, only because the children are still cognizient and at the least aware of what's going on around them, while both Jani and Bodhi were developmentally stumped, and Bodhi was pretty much MIA mentally. Also I think it's a little soon to jump to accusing them of sexual abuse, which, as we saw raised and disproven in the Schofield case, may just be down to over-protectiveness and lack of boundaries.

It's kind of a toss-up. My first thought is that at least these kids appear to be cognitively intact. Jani and Bodhi will likely never have anything like normal adult cognition.

On the other hand, the level of horror involved in being aware of what's being done to you with these kinds of surgeries and being psychologically present for the pain involved is some next-level suffering. From some perspectives, that's not a blessing.

A bunch of fairly normal looking kids, and they're putting the littlest on fucking Elavil? Amitriptyline is a first-gen tricyclic anti-depressant drug that not only gets adults ripped out of their fucking skulls long before it has any 'anti depressant' effect, but causes suicidal thoughts and actions in children because it's such a strong modifier of an immature brain chemistry! What the FUCK is her psychotic doctor even THINKING in giving that shit to Avehana??

Just found out now that this drug was discovered 80 years ago and they STILL don't fully understand it's mechanism of action. Fuck me. Munchie-enabling doctors are as bad as the MBP moms themselves.

They're giving Avee that med to treat headaches. Idk what is being done to address Haleigh's mental health. Krissy doesn't talk about taking her to a counselor or a psychiatrist, which is odd considering she jumps at every other opportunity to take her kids to a doctor and treat every last little thing that might be wrong with them.

Remember, Avee has Celiac and if so, her intestines could have been damaged by eating gluten, leaving her less able to absorb nutrients.

Ehhhh, amitriptyline can be legitimately used for severe chronic headaches of certain types. IIRC they give a much lower dose for headache treatment than they do for psychiatric issues. How old is Ave, exactly? It's not at all unheard of to use tricyclics for headache prevention in teenagers.

First off. Holy shit this is probably the most horrifying thread I've seen here. The photos of the screw coming out of that little girls head. Will fucking haunt me. This mom needs to have those kids taken away asap.

Not my field of expertise, so forgive me. But surely there are physical repercussions to getting a permanent feeding tube installed? Like, if you are on one for a long time, wouldn't it impair your ability to eat normally years down the line?

I didn't see anyone comment here but from a non munchie mom standpoint no (I phrase it that way because you know she'd fuck with the tubes no matter what kind they had). A lot of kids who get G and GJ tubes are actually more likely to be weaned off the tube than with an NG and NJ tube. The reason is the nasal tubes can cause severe throat irritation and reflux and make the kids get really bad oral aversions. But with G and GJ tubes a lot of kids end up in feeding therapies down the road and get their tubes pulled. As long as they are getting food into their stomachs periodically even if it's just formula (especially for J tube kids this is important) the stomach will continue to work and have function.

They will have to introduce foods slowly, like a baby would but they could eventually get up to normal eating. I saw a story the other day from a 17 year old with autism who had been tube fed his whole life after an intense feeding therapy got his tube pulled.

Usually if a kid's going to have a tube for more than 3 months? Doctors do a surgical tube. I though every accomplished munchie mom wanted their kids to have a feeding tube, but maybe the nasal ones stir something inside her because other people can see it when they go out. I don't know if in the US is different like user above said but where i'm from if the doctors really want to avoid a tube they can hospitalise and feed formula through the nasal tube until they're fine to go home (which shouldn't really take long) and then can use as needed in their home for time being. I've been told the need to switch it if it doesn't rupture/breaks is of five months. I don't know why they would rush to put a tube unless it's a young child or baby that really needs it's nutrition or the child can't eat anything and will throw up the majority of the formula that goes through the nasal tube, thus needing a feeding tube. US doctors might be more willingly to do surgical procedures for whatever reason though if paid or if insurance covers it.

The kid gets migraines, but I haven’t heard them talking about triptans for her, which work wonders. There is also a new migraine med out, that I don’t know much about but it’s for people who get more than 14 a month. And botox also helps. . Why they’d want to give a psychiatric drug before those things, I can only imagine is to give her ugly side effects.

The boy seems to have GERD. Otherwise known as heartburn. Needs to be treated as in later years (much, much later) can cause cancer, but many OTC medications are very effective. Surgery is not first line and there are many drugs to try.

I don’t believe they have trouble swallowing. I believe they are suffering from abuse. However, a barium study would show it. There are also benign things that can cause it-Jeffrey Star has a condition that requires his throat be dilated every few years, but even though he had it as a kid, he just learned to take small bites.

Bitch doesn’t have cancer. She just wants that sweet, sweet sympathy.

The interesting thing to me is many of these munchie moms have completely disinterested husbands.one husband watched as his wife killed 8 kids and he said he’d no idea and was shocked when she went to prison. They don’t leave, they walk the walk, don’t screw around, but they never question mom and are absolutely disengaged. The fact that this one is in a medical field, if only as a tech, makes this more interesting. I wonder if these moms are trying to get husbands attention? It happens often.

He clearly never read his wife’s radiology reports, he is allowing his kids to have major, debilitating treatments for minor conditions and pretty much lives his inner life without noticing his family.

He’s as omega as they come. When one of these kids are killed he’ll just twiddle his lips and say “I had no idea it was that bad.”

There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. A couple of breeds, such as poodles, that don’t shed as much dander as other dogs, but they shed some and do have dander if petted. Might keep anybody with medically fragile children with dog allergies should get a fish.

Comfort care, in this case, would be a great thing. All comfort care means is they won’t do invasive treatments and instead, will do only what’s necessary to keep the person comfortable.
Sadly, I don’t think that’s what’s happening. Psycho mom has confused the phrase with hospice care (which is triggered about six months before suspected death) and wants people to think her kid is dying. And you know she’ll do invasive treatments if she can find a doctor to do it.

Ugh, it’s really hard for me not to a-log this one.

NG tubes should be changed every 1-3 weeks. They are known as the short term tube. I've seen some people change them every 6 weeks but that seems pretty rare.

I'm not surprised she's getting hatemail. I'm seeing her named dragged through the mud a few places online. She's horrific to check in on.

Ya know like normal people may have a normal " word of the day", "Farside cartoon" or "cute kitten pic of the day" calendar. Only hers calendar is horrific catalogue of the abuses she has heaped upon her children and the scams she used to fleece the community.

Hopefully such a calendar will fall into prosecutors hands.

This woman died as a result of shunt surgeries and CSF leak - Haleigh has had multiple shunt surgeries this year alone and Krissy says she also has an ongoing CSF leak, I'm sure this helps her feel SO much better, knowing this lady died from it.

The only oral medication I can think of is tamoxifen. Which has a possible side effect of causing uterine cancer. Trade one cancer for the possibility of another.

Agree. If I had to guess, maybe they found a possible tumor/something that was removed via lumpectomy, and now she’s taking tamoxifen. No chemo, no hair loss or anything that screams cancer patient, which is why she doesn’t bother with details. No asspats for a basic bitch cancer that won’t kill you. It is a rule of thumb in the medical field, from my understanding, that surgery or anything with potentially irreversible effects is a last resort. You don't fucking do this.

Spoiler: Personal Experience with GERD/Why Nissen Fundoplication was the Wrong Move for her Toddler

Somewhat late to this but her one son has GERD and it is so so obvious. She is almost certainly exaggerating the symptoms of it, as well, unless they are symptoms specially brought on by his stomach being out of position- something extremely rare that if proof was posted on, I missed. Her description of his symptoms (weak muscle at the bottom of the esophagus especially) are nearly exactly what a gastroenterologist will tell you after a GERD diagnosis to help you understand why you have those symptoms. There are dozens of prescription and OTC meds that help GERD significantly and I'm willing to bet they didn't trial even one with this kid. Half my family has GERD (I'm certain it's genetic, and it's super common to boot), and most diagnosed resolved their symptoms/reduced how it bad it was with the first prescribed or recommended OTC medication (see this Harvard Medical Letter - This is only ONE TYPE of medicine as well, although it's easily the most effective- there are H2 blockers, other types as well I'm sure). You do not get surgery for GERD at that kid's age unless you have some very serious complications, which she does claim- that her son was born with most of his stomach above his diaphragm.

Now hear me out, this is where I really start a-logging and I know it, but why the fuck would you, for something as significant as the kid's major organ being INCHES out of place, go for the small, less invasive option instead of fucking fixing the organ's placement?? You get a Nissen lap when no heartburn medications work, and it resolves like 75% of all cases when you have a competent surgeon, but it's for people who are in their 50s and at the end of their rope with GERD shit, not for people who literally have their stomach in the WRONG POSITION ANATOMICALLY. Why not resolve the kid's major issue first so it doesn't cause more issues down the line?

I just don't understand. Use your fucking brain! I don't care if your new Gastroenterologist says "oh maybe a Nissen lap will solve this, it's minimally invasive", you can question that! Maybe it will actually make things worse for the doctor that has to cut him open three years down the line to start correcting the alignment of his stomach or esophagus!

Therein lies my worse issue with munchies and I think what gets me to a-log the most. If they get a prognosis where surgery or a fuckton of meds is likely, they ask no questions and they actively make the lives of their kids worse by not seeking second opinions. Doctor shopping is one thing, yes- but that's looking for a bad diagnosis to get meds or something else. Actively seeking a second opinion is encouraged in the medical community, and munchies totally fucking ignore it the minute they get a prognosis that favors their agenda.

Fuck I hate horrorcows. I want to research the shit she's claiming happened to other kids, but my heart bleeds for that toddler already.

I knew someone IRL who faked cancer. When I heard she was starting treatment I pulled together a meal train and arranged for childcare and cleaning of her home. I went over to deposit a meal and give her house a good scrubbing on the day of her first treatment to find her in bed with gauze on her arm and claims that chemo had just been administered by a medic friend who “hooked her up” because she was uninsured.
I noped the fuck out of there and cancelled the meal train. I’ll refrain from too much more PL but I will say that illness fakers get really nasty and vindictive when called on their lies.

This woman is seriously mentally unwell. I mean I cringelaugh at the munchie thread because those people do it to themselves, but this thing gets away with ruining four kids.

Thing is, if her kids were taken away, she’d get them back through a vitriolic online campaign courtesy of sites like Medical Kidnap and others of that ilk. One or two doctors raising concern over these kids will not be able to compare to the legion of doctors who have played an active role in the destruction of their health. It will be a circle the wagon event on every angle and the kids will go right back to mama with a tearful, televised reunion.
